Stewardship Is Our Work | books, words and me
https://wordsandjosh.wordpress.com/2012/05/17/stewardship-is-our-work
Books, words and me. My musings on my writing, my reading, and my life. Stewardship Is Our Work. May 17, 2012. Originally published in Witness, 2011. It has quickly become apparent that I have a passion for the environment, after writing two articles in Witness that set forth, what I hope is, a strong case for Christians being biblically, morally and spiritually responsible stewards of the environment. The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. The ecologi...

Books, words and me. My musings on my writing, my reading, and my life. Video Games and the Female Audience. January 23, 2010. This video came out June of last year, but it’s only just made it in front of my eyes. I’m sad, because it’s really good and deserves a lot of attention! Watch it all, Daniel’s smart and so is Leigh. Where one starts and the other finishes, I dunno, but it’s definitely worth a watch. About Joshua S Hill. View all posts by Joshua S Hill ». Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Books, words and me. My musings on my writing, my reading, and my life. January 23, 2010. It has been a nice effect of quitting my job that I’m actually writing again. I won’t comment on the lack of funds I’m receiving from the supposed job but I will focus on the fact that I’ve sky-rocketed by writing through the hundred thousand words mark. It’s nice, and I’m closing in on the end of the story. Of course, some of that time that should be spent writing is spent in other past times. January 4, 2010.
Environmentalism isn’t its own Religion: it’s ours! | books, words and me

Books, words and me. My musings on my writing, my reading, and my life. Environmentalism isn’t its own Religion: it’s ours! May 17, 2012. Originally published in Witness, 2011. Of that. I was dismayed, but not surprised, given the almost Pavlovian response that some Christians have to any passion that isn’t Christianity itself. For environmentalism is not some contender for a Christian’s religious belief but rather an extension of our own faith. Or it should be. And then what did He do? God told them ...

Ed Cyzewski: Author / Contemplative. Author, Contemplative Christian, Freelance Writer. If There’s a Slippery Slope, Then Jesus May Be Leading Us Down It. July 6, 2015. The fear of the unknown has been a powerful force for Christians over the years. If you let go of a particular doctrine, welcome a particular person, or adopt a particular belief, THERE’S NO TELLING WHERE IT COULD LEAD! It’s amazingly effective for several reasons:. It doesn’t actually engage an idea or its implications for the present.

Where You Can Find Me. Back to My Roots. May 25, 2015. After two years of (sporadic) blogging at this URL, I’ve decided to get back to my roots! I’ve combined posts from Words and Impressions with my former healthy living blog Junk Food Break Up. I want to try to make a real effort at getting back into blogging, and for me it makes sense to write under just one domain. Going forward you can find me at Junk Food Break Up writing about running, travel and L.A. Life. Thanks for reading! March 8, 2015. Yes, ...

La Hubris di ieri e di oggi, dal mito di Ulisse a quello di Into the Wild. THE WILD TRUTH, the other part of the story. Were you impressed by the incredible story of Christopher McCandless, the 21 year old guy that after graduation dropped out of sight for a North American trip on the road in the summer of 1990, and that in April 1992 hitchhiked to Alaska to walk alone into the wild? If you did, you will have read the book by Jon Krakauer or seen the amazing film, directed by Sean Penn. Both the book and...

Books, words and me. My musings on my writing, my reading, and my life. Pruned Like an Azalea. May 17, 2012. I wrote this as a submission piece which was rejected. I’m just publishing it here, ‘cause I can. There was an azalea out the back, and I must have decided that it too required pruning. I did not understand the reason or the necessity for pruning, but Mum had done it, so I would help out. Devoid of leaves, not to mention flowers. Here’s what my Mum said about the azalea;. We’ll Always Need Pruning.

The Maker of My Mouth. June 12th, 2008 by Linda Roberts. 8220;‘Who makes mouths? 8217; the Lord asked him. ‘Who makes people so they can speak or not speak, hear or not hear, see or not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 8217;” Exodus 4:11. My new neighbor saw me outside and asked, “What time does the mail come?
