Words by the River

Words by the River. Saturday, 13 July 2013. Why we're still here. Waiting for some heat. For strength to leap. Longer days my friend. Hand hold my son. Take to the stage. And in the meadow land I see. We took a trip. To change a view. The best time of all. Was just up the hill. We saw a dear old one. Run my fingers over. I love you so. Words by the River. Where you were never. Ever quite the same. They said this was the month. But spring my hope. Give me time, a ticking clock. It never poured as much.

Words by the River: Spire

http://www.wordsbytheriver.blogspot.com/2013/02/spire.html

Words by the River. Wednesday, 20 February 2013. Short story extract from a short story called 'Spire'. The leaves fell fast, in the Northern Autumn breeze. The trees stood tall, sloped and inviting, sheltering homes and those within them. The church spire could be seen from one bedroom window. It was nice to look at but how little did one realise that it would become such a meaningful symbol in years to come. Words by the River. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Words by the River: Mighty Wind

http://www.wordsbytheriver.blogspot.com/2013/03/mighty-wind.html

Words by the River. Friday, 29 March 2013. Faster and faster all around. Echo in my ear windy sound. Most don't like you and some despair. But I think you're ok. If I may dare. To speak of how you shake off the cobwebs. Make me feel alive. Blown away in surprise. Daffodils tapping against my windowsill. You've blown away dust. For I was waiting. But if we get sowing. Who knows what we'll reap. Words by the River. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Little Boy - March poem. Words by the River.

Words by the River: Writing categories

http://www.wordsbytheriver.blogspot.com/2013/03/writing-categories.html

Words by the River. Saturday, 16 March 2013. I'm starting to categorise my writing on here. So if you see a reference to a 'series' of poems or prose, that relates to the creative area where that piece is intended to sit. The main ones at the moment are:. Words about faith, religion, believing, hope. Seascapes and Landscapes Series. Water and land around us is so inspiring. I write about places, views, cities, coasts and countryside in this series. The Memories and People Series. Words by the River.

Words by the River: Little Boy - March poem

http://www.wordsbytheriver.blogspot.com/2013/03/little-boy-march-poem.html

Words by the River. Saturday, 16 March 2013. Little Boy - March poem. In recent times you have become. Somewhat of a mystery. This time last you were balmy. New buds spring forth. And I sat in your warming arms. With legs up waiting. As time ticked on. Thinking you cannot hurry nature. And perfect timing that's all in hand. This time around you are cooler. Not that keen to spread sunshine. Gusty air around our faces. Hurried moves from car to places. And we are busy making good. So many times before.

Words by the Storm

Words by the Storm.

We are just a pre-conceived notion. A thought, an idea. But then we are made. A miracle of cellular engineering. Millions and millions of brilliant events. One by one or side by side. All the bits that make us live. A creature that breathes air and walks. Delightful but too complex to conceive. But where comes the difference.
