Marianne Van Osch lives in Forest Grove, a unique community in the South Cariboo of British Columbia, where history lives within the pioneers who shaped the land. Marianne interviews the people who grew up on remote homesteads when survival was a daily challenge, and explores the pioneer experience at a time when neighbours were few and far between, and mail service a full day's walk from home. The resulting books preserve a way of life lost in the technological developments of a modern world.
