A Journey to the Center of Manhattan: 10.11
http://journeytothecenterofmanhattan.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. So that each week I could run purposefully, deliberately, and thoughtfully. And I loved every minute of it. I have been given a tremendous gift and I could not be more thankful for it. In two weeks, I will accomplish a goal I have had for nearly my whole life, a goal I never thought I would be able to meet. In two weeks, I will be a marathoner. A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. I'm a guest blogger! Check out my first guest post over at Happy Healthy Runner. Emily @ Journey to the Center of Manhattan. My aversion to strength training, or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Do Lunges. Was an acceptable alternative. Emily @ Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Of taking risks, of pushing myself, of failure, and moreover, of taking myself into uncharted territory. My training has been just as much mental...

A Journey to the Center of Manhattan: Baby Steps
http://journeytothecenterofmanhattan.blogspot.com/2012/06/baby-steps.html
A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. Saturday morning was the 5 mile NYRR Pride Run - a run I've been wanting to do for a couple of years, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I had missed the Central Park loop, and it was so nice to be back in familiar territory. My biggest accomplishment, however? Emily @ Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Glad your race went well and that you seem to be bouncing back from your injury! Welcome back to running! On the Right Track.

A Journey to the Center of Manhattan: 07.12
http://journeytothecenterofmanhattan.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. The more I get into running, the more races I hear about that I'm dying to participate in, but haven't been able to due to my overriding academic commitments. But now that I'm only two and a half short weeks away from re-entering the real world (read: the bar exam will be over and I'll be full-time job searching until something good comes along) I can't wait to do more races outside of Central Park. Tour de Cure NYC Century ride.

A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. This morning, I set out to run for a full hour, and I have so missed that feeling of euphoria when you're pushing yourself and your body is just cooperating, you're moving at a pace almost fast enough so that people don't wonder why you don't just walk, and it just feels good. It feels so good to be back. Emily @ Journey to the Center of Manhattan. This post makes me happy. im so glad that youre back out there! NYC Marathon Bagga...

A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. What's a little friendly competition? Not so friendly, it turns out, if it starts to get in the way of your goals. I'm a pretty competitive person. I knew I would have a tough time learning how to run without some sort of ultimate goal towards which I could work. I also really really. Did I think I can finish at all. This was where I found myself the last few days; agonizing about everything that wasn't good enough. That thought ...

A Journey to the Center of Manhattan: NYC Marathon Baggage Policy Change
http://journeytothecenterofmanhattan.blogspot.com/2012/08/nyc-marathon-baggage-policy-change.html
A Journey to the Center of Manhattan. Five Boroughs. Five Months. One goal. NYC Marathon Baggage Policy Change. For anyone who hasn't heard, NYRR announced the other day that they are no longer going to have a bag check. Available for the NYC Marathon this year. And, as has almost become the norm with NYRR's policy-changing announcements, it caused a shitstorm. They cited the bag check as one of the perks of this fee, and in light of their change of policy, are issuing NYRR ponchos to. Insane. I coul...
