Sunday, April 24, 2011. Well, I have to admit that I hit a wall (metaphorically, of course) the other day. I was living in a happy state of denial, willing myself to believe that the lack of sleep, learning how to be a mom of two kids, and transition back to work weren't affecting me. It turns out, I was wrong. Working mom or not, we all have our moments, don't we? I grew up with a loving, tolerant, wonderful mom, but there were even times when she had to go for a drive to cool down. 1 Phone a friend.

Thursday, April 14, 2011. So, I've been trying to keep my posts positive thus far. The reality is that I have a good life and so many blessings. But, I'm afraid I'm still not immune to mommy guilt, or, in my case, working mommy guilt. The only way that I remove myself from the gloomy mommy-guilt cloud is to remind myself that I'm actually a better mom because I work. But, it's still hard. April 15, 2011 at 12:17 AM. Hang in there. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. My husband and I used to have 'colorful' language before we had kids. It wasn't uncommon for our word-choice and topics of conversation to exceed a PG-13 rating. Once Hope could understand our conversations, however, that all changed. Now, we are both correcting our language, using phrases like "Cheese and Rice," "Shut the front door," "goodness gracious," "Holy Canoli" and "God Bless America" (the last one is my favorite, since there is still a mild tone of sacrilige).
