Andres was nominated in his first try to the Indy Car Academy where the top 33 drivers nationwide get chosen from all students at Skip Barber. There were 4 groups, each of 8 drivers. Andres Sanchez was the fastest in his group, and overall had the 7th fastest time (only beaten by second time drivers at the academy ). Despite Andres Sanchez not winning at the Indy Car Academy, he was noted by all instructors and was recommended to race at the Summer Racing Series this upcoming 2014.
