Monday, January 31, 2011. When we were in America, Elyot's great aunt Kay mentioned that Elyot looks a lot like Mama did as a baby. We decided to check it out. We publish the results here with the caveat that NaMe was very much under the weather and Grandaddy's sartorial shortcomings pictured here lasted only a brief spell. Mama has no excuses, however. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Adventures in American Eating. Elyot loved getting to try new foods in the USA. Here he is trying a dill pickle. Some SPAM (sort of). Grandaddy's favourite ice cream, vanilla Bluebell. And even Grandaddy's awesome steaks (while Daddy enjoyed his fantastic Sazeracs). And nearly every day he ate a an American-style biscuit! Saturday, September 24, 2011. Northwest Arkansas Part 2. We had a great time hanging out at Chris and Anne's for a delicious BBQ. Elyot got to try watermelon for the first time. Saturday, May 28, 2011. Lili is so crafty! She made some lovely things for Jackson when he was a baby, and has now done the same for Elyot. She even made him some cute hangers, just like she did for Jackson, Mama, and Daddy. Friday, May 27, 2011. Here is the promised video of Elyot commando crawling to get to his little car at Lili's house a couple of weeks ago. The last few days have seen him properly crawling a couple of paces on his knees. He is also learning to drive Mama's Mercedes.

Friday, June 17, 2011. Elyot is becoming more upright and more mobile! He can really sit up to play now- especially if it involves Jackson. He can also crawl everywhere- especially if it involves his gentle friend Ben. Piper is also playing a part in Elyot's development by showing him how to get outside by himself. Monday, July 18, 2011. Elyot had his first ever 4th of July in America at NaMe and Grandaddy's! Jerry, Kay, and Tommy came over and we all cooled off in the pool in the morning. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. He wasn't all that impressed. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Back when Elyot was 4 weeks old, he took his first family holiday to the Mt Macedeon area. It rained the whole time, so we had a nice time relaxing in our lovely house. On Halloween, we were able to hike up Hanging Rock- Elyot's first hike! We had lunch at the nice cafe at the bottom. After Magnolia, back in July, we set out for Northwest Arkansas, and stopped for a couple of nights at Tanyard Springs on Petit Jean Mountain along the way. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Holiday in Byron Bay. A couple of weeks ago, Elyot went on his first big beach holiday to Byron Bay! He had a nice time napping at Belongil Beach. And going for sunset walks. It was Elyot's first time to try swimming, in our holiday apartment's pool. Jackson helped inspire him. We enjoyed eating out together at the restaurant next door. It was a lovely holiday!
