ThinkTank: [Druid, 3.2] Emblem of Triumph items for cats
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2009/07/druid-32-emblem-of-triumph-items-for_29.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Druid, 3.2] Emblem of Triumph items for cats. And with the bear one out of the way, time to do the cat emblem of triumph gear. (Really, it's not that bad Jacemora. Fortunately all the prior items are basically covered save a couple trinkets, so that saves some time - there really aren't that many pieces from purely Emblems of Triumph that are obtainable, and the ones you might care about are fairly small. As before, the gearing list is based on FeralByNight's system of weighing.

ThinkTank: [Druid] Savage Defense guesses (with math!)
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2009/02/druid-savage-defense-guesses-with-math.html
Thursday, February 5, 2009. Druid] Savage Defense guesses (with math! An example of a savage defense: the 1985 Chicago Bears. Blizzard has got to work on better names. Protector of the Pack, when bears don't have packs? King of the Jungle working on bear form? In the wonderful tradition of ' guessing what blizzard will do. Without knowing what it's going to be. I'll walk through some of the bad, napkin math that I love so much. We're trying to figure out two things here:. Not a problem :). Reduction is t...

ThinkTank: [Druid, 3.1] the state of druid testing on the PTR, 03/30
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2009/03/druid-31-state-of-druid-testing-on-ptr.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. Druid, 3.1] the state of druid testing on the PTR, 03/30. While raiding is out, and while substantial play is out, I can at least do some small amount of PTR testing. So, this week's (well, two week's) testing results. Savage Defense now procs on Lacerate crits. It also procs on Rip crits. So if for whatever reason you have a rip up on a target then switch to Bear, SD will proc on those too. Savage Defense still only works on bear form. Swipe's radius has been greatly increased.

ThinkTank: [Bear] The flood of bear gear in 4.1
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2011/04/bear-flood-of-bear-gear-in-41.html
Friday, April 22, 2011. Bear] The flood of bear gear in 4.1. You've probably seen a bunch of posts on the great set of gear you can get from ZA/ZG when 4.1 hits - how there's finally some bracers that aren't blue. Or another shot to get a weapon when malevolence hates you. Or heck, how to get twice as much VP per week from heroics as you could before. All of that is true. But that's not the real source of awesome. The real source of awesome comes from this little gem:. What does this mean? Similarly the ...

ThinkTank: [Cat] Cataclysm cats part 2: the case for mastery
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2010/09/cat-cataclysm-cats-part-2-case-for.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. Cat] Cataclysm cats part 2: the case for mastery. This is the second article in the series, following up from the basic one. Today we're going to talk about mastery - and what mastery does for a cat. What would it take to have mastery do the same thing? Well, simple math says that as long as bleeds are doing about 40% of your total damage, each mastery skill point will increase your DPS by 1%. In live, assuming you have a fairly good rotation and a reasonably static fight, ble...

ThinkTank: [Cat] In case you weren't pumped up for Fireland raiding
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2011/04/cat-in-case-you-werent-pumped-up-for.html
Thursday, April 28, 2011. Cat] In case you weren't pumped up for Fireland raiding. One thing I missed from blizzard's various previews of Firelands in the last couple days is this gem from Kotaku. This time around they have, however, resulting in some sexy Ragnaros-styled armor, a new non-legendary version of his mace, Sulfuros,. And a druid staff that drops off one of raid's other bosses that transforms the wielder into a molten cat. I might want that. Just a little bit. April 29, 2011 at 12:32 AM.

ThinkTank: [Druid]Some quick Cataclysm observations for ferals
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2010/07/druidsome-quick-cataclysm-observations.html
Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Druid]Some quick Cataclysm observations for ferals. I'll be doing a more in-depth analysis of where ferals are in cataclysm, but that'll take a bit of time. In the meantime, here are some answers to some questions I've seen here and elsewhere. Feral AP is gone from weapons entirely. Attacks now scale with weapon damage, and are normalized by speed. Faerie fire is broken for cat and bear; it is untrainable. I gained about 5k health simply by leveling up in caster form. Mangle is e...

ThinkTank: [Druid] General comments on GC's recent post
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2010/12/druid-general-comments-on-gcs-recent.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Druid] General comments on GC's recent post. Wanted to handle this separately, since it was a Big Deal over the holidays. Recently had a very big update on PvE and PvP balance, and actually mentioned ferals a couple times! I know, I was as shocked as you were. The whole thing is over at MMO-Champ. But the important relevant bits of ferals I've copied. To dismiss crit or. We are considering making some physical attacks such as. Why did they change that? Which would put bears ba...

ThinkTank: [Druid] Limited Savage Defense analysis
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2009/04/druid-limited-savage-defense-analysis.html
Monday, April 20, 2009. Druid] Limited Savage Defense analysis. This was taken from my recent Razorscale kill. On this I tanked sentinels and then Razorscale when we got him to 50%. It's not the best representation of a tank&spank, but it should do for a general value. Specifically it should be nice because according to WWS, I received all of two Essence of Gossamer procs, and no power word: shields for the entire fight. Thus almost all the damage absorbed should be from SD and SD alone. What's interesti...

ThinkTank: [Bear] The best case for Savage Defense
http://wowthinktank.blogspot.com/2011/04/bear-best-case-for-savage-defense.html
Friday, April 1, 2011. Bear] The best case for Savage Defense. If you take anything from this article, take this bit: to maximize SD uptime make sure that mauls happen on your special attacks' cooldown, so the rotation for multitarget mobs looks like this:. Obviously you can do demo roar or lacerate or whatever on that mangle bit, but maul is the key thing here. That also means to maximize your SD procs now, you should be doing something like this:. Anyway, onto the article. Adds hitting you (and they do...
