Saturday, December 5, 2009. Hokkaido is the second largest, northernmost and least developed of Japan's four main islands. Hokkaido's weather is harsh in winter with lots of snowfall, below zero temperatures and frozen seas, while in summer, it does not get as hot and humid as in the other parts of the country. With its unspoiled nature, Hokkaido attracts many outdoor lovers, including skiers and snowboarders in the colder seasons and hikers, cyclists and campers from June to September.

Actually these are fun, fairly slow moving cars over which you have no steering control because the car is on a track. Still fun though, even for younger kids. This attraction is often closed in the winter, and it's worth remembering that this is an outside attraction so you're exposed to the elements whatever (I got sun-burned on this one! Other than being in French, it's no different to the other Star Tours attractions in the the other parks. A high speed simulated space warp. Very highly recommended, as are the computer games (refreshingly not in an arcade style) in L'Astroport services Interstallaires which you'll walk through as you exit the attraction.
