Saturday, October 8, 2011. Sugar Cookies and Frosting. Sugar Cookies and Frosting. SOUR CREAM SUGAR COOKIES. 1 Cup Butter (room temp.), 1 1/2 Cups Sugar, 3 Eggs, 2 tsp. Vanilla, 1 Cup Sour Cream, 5 Cups Flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 2 tsp. baking powder, salt to taste. Working in batches, roll the dough out onto a floured surface. Lion House" Cream of Broccoli Soup with Cheddar Cheese. 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter. 1/2 cup copped onion. 1/c cup peeled, chopped carrots. 1/2 cup chopped celery. 4 cups chopped broccoli. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1 cup chicken broth. 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided. 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. Salt and pepper, to taste. Broccoli florets, steamed, for garnish.

The original recipe below probably would have been enough but I wanted to have extra. If you double the sauce recipe I would suggest doubling everything but the spinach. There was so delicious and close to the real thing, we will definitely make it again. 3/4 cup all purpose flour. 1/2 tsp dried basil. 1 cup lowfat milk.

I can't find the exact recipe I used but I think this is close enough. 1 1/2 cups raisins. 1 1/2 cups water. 1/4 cup pineapple juice, or 1/4 cup more water. In a small saucepan, combine raisins, water, pineapple juice, and vanilla. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Pour mixture through strainer. Set raisins aside, reserving liquid.
