Mike, Lisa, and little Austin (and Julian too! Tuesday, August 20, 2013. The other Grand Canyon.of PA. A few weeks ago, right around our anniversary, we planned a trip to the mountains of Pennsylvania to visit the east coast's 'Grand Canyon'. While not nearly as impressive as Arizona's, it was still a pretty spectacular site. . We rented a cabin at a campground, which was a perfect way to feel like we were camping -but with the amenities that make taking a toddler much much easier! Playing with the rocks.

Holy cow.thats alot of weight to put on in a few short weeks! Tyler surprised us this week by having several nights in a row (I think 4 so far) where he slept from 8 or 8:30pm to 2 or 2:30am straight! It was quite a treat getting that much sleep at a time. We've been spending alot more time outside lately.and realized we are going to have to venture into the outdoor toy world since we really don't have any! Although, Mike came home from the grocery store last weekend with a fun new outdoor toy to play with - a bubble mower! Austin wasn't too psyched about touching the animals, but he definitely watched them walk by over and over! Actually touching the goat!

When he woke up crying from a nap over the weekend he actually saw me and said 'mamama' with his arms reaching towards me - I'm pretty sure thats the first time that I felt like he was actually communicating with me.
