Even though we technically live in a suburb, with all of the wildlife we've seen lately, it feels more like the country around here and we love it! A few Ramblings and Reflections from our Family. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Last week Grafton attended his 3rd year of VBS at our church. This year was extra-special because his cousins, Levi and Drew, also attended and we even carpooled with them some of the days. This summer I'm having my own version of VBS by attending our summer Women's Bible Study. It's nice change because we meet in smaller groups in homes instead of a large group at our church building. A few Ramblings and Reflections from our Family. Saturday, July 23, 2011. This summer has been filled with swimming, play dates, trips to the library, and going to the movies. However, a few weeks ago the boys and I had a day that was especially fun! We started our morning by going to the circus where a huge group of friends from church attended with us. This was their first time going and Grafton told me that it was even better than he had imagined! Thursday, July 14, 2011. This was a huge relief to me.

I've been a lousy picture taker recently, which is one of the main reasons for my lack of blogging lately. Last night I looked through my camera and realized there's a hodge-podge of pictures from the last couple of weeks. Here are some of them. The same evening we celebrated our brother-in-law, Ron's birthday! We had dinner at Famous Dave's and then got some frozen yogurt for dessert. A melted cough drop.

Every year the staff at our church throws a "Dream Team" party to thank all of the people who have volunteered throughout the year. Now that Vince is part of the staff we had the opportunity to help serve instead of only attend, and it was actually a lot of fun! A couple of weeks ago I hosted a playdate with a few friends and while walking them out the door I noticed a very large lizard at the top of our outside entry way (he was about 12 feet above the ground). A few Ramblings and Reflections from our Family. Thursday, July 29, 2010. At the beginning of March my Nanny bought Grafton an Oscar fish because he drew her a picture of a fish for her birthday. At the time he fit nicely in the 3 gallon tank she bought for him, but five months later he had definitely outgrown it! A few Ramblings and Reflections from our Family. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Celebrated Deklan's 3rd birthday! A few days prior to his big day we had a few family members and friends over for a train themed party. On the actual day we went out to dinner, to the library and then had frozen yogurt. Happy Friday everyone - Jummah Mubarak! It's been a slow week around here so no big reveal to share just yet, but the basement bathroom. The shower is complete and the drywall is patched, all it needs is a fresh coat of paint and a little caulk around the trim. Then God-willing we'll be moving on to the kitchenette! A few Ramblings and Reflections from our Family. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Last week we took our annual trip to Minnesota. The difference this year was that Vince was not able to join us. :0(. I was nervous having to travel with the boys by myself, but they were so good! This was a huge relief to me. We didn't leave my in-laws house much, but rather spent our time fishing (I didn't realize how fun it could be), going on boat rides, and eating ice cream every evening. July 20, 2011 at 11:23 PM.
