A mom's view of a boy's world. Sunday, December 20, 2009. In June we did a clean-up service project with the Cub Scouts. Greg graduated from 5th grade. Nate lost his first tooth. It was pretty cold (it's been a really cold winter), but the boys had a lot of fun. Sledding is one of those things we always say we should do and never get around to, so I'm glad we did it. A mom's view of a boy's world. Thursday, May 21, 2009. Late April to Early May. Look, I'm almost caught up! Greg earned his Webelos rank and his Arrow of Light and crossed over to Scouts at the April pack meeting. Since Charles is the 11yo Scout leader he was the one to greet Greg when he crossed over. A mom's view of a boy's world. Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Eventually, I'll get this week caught up! I'm doing one day at a time, though! For Christmas Eve, we went to the Worltons. Mom had made Roast Beast for dinner (beef and ham). How very fun! She also made yummy mashed potatoes, broccoli, a spinach salad, her world-famous rolls, and a banana cream trifle for dessert. Thursday, December 9, 2010. For the past couple of years Gavin has been taking Karate. It has been so wonderful for his discipline and coordination. He has a great sensei (Sensei Bob) who is patient, but firm with him. This year he received his orange belt and he was proud! They had a mini-tournament during class one week and Gavin dominated! Wednesday, April 28, 2010. And a lot of pictures. Links to this post. In January Gavin turned 8 and joined the Cub Scouts. You know what that means. PINEWOOD DERBY, BABY! He and his Dad spent the last several weeks working on Gavin's car. Gavin wanted to model it after the Riddler's car from Batman (he's been on a Batman kick lately). The rules were strict that the Cub Scout needed to do most of the work. But, Matt did eventually have to buy himself a car so he could make that paint job just perfect!

Thursday, December 9, 2010. Our boys have always. Loved to read bedtime stories. For a long time they only had the attention span for short picture books. Just this year we've started to read longer novels to them. Matt recently read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to them and they were enthralled.
