tillymint's desk: worn and washed quilt
http://tillymintsplace.blogspot.com/2012/05/worn-and-washed-quilt.html
Wednesday, 23 May 2012. Worn and washed quilt. It all started with this. I was at Quilts UK at Malvern last week and had stood and gazed in awe at the fabulous quilts on display. Absolutely stunning they were, so much work had gone into them all. They were all worthy of first prize ribbons. But. they were so perfect that I just couldn't visualise them on a bed in my own home. They were just too lovely to be used. know what I mean? If you had told me last week that I'd be hand quilting a quilt I'd have ho...

Little stitch and me: Worn and Washed
http://squigglingabout.blogspot.com/2011/04/worn-and-washed.html
Tales of crafting and vintage treasure seeking. Tuesday, 19 April 2011. Lots of pictures today, I can't wait to show you how I got on at the Worn and Washed sewing day. It was great fun I really enjoyed myself, I think everyone that went got something out of the day and everyone went home with a quilt top. Some got to the basting stage but it was just great to have a day doing something different and to just sew. This was the quilt display exhibition. I took Little OB's cot blanket to show Kim. This is h...

biscuit: August 2014
http://biscuitmonster.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. So I bought the Ikea Doll Bed. Firstly a new mattress. Here is the other side. Simply flip it over and you have a new bed! Secondly, a pillow. The pillow form itself I made using the white percale offcuts from Empress Mills. Thirdly, a duvet. What can I say? I had all the stuffing and plenty of the percale left so I just went for it and even sewed it into sections like a proper duvet. Then I made a matching duvet cover. It's a little baggy but aren't they all? Fourthly, a quilt!

Blue Moth: April 2015

Monday, 13 April 2015. Using it - Liberty Nine Patch. I've been collecting Liberty fabric on and off for years. I've been using it, too. But not fast enough. I went to an exhibition recently ( Spring Knit and Stitch at Olympia). Where Worn and Washed. I'm going to keep going until I get to 238 blocks (14 x 17) which would give me something 7ft wide by 8ft 6 long. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. So much fabric, so little time. Saturday, January 24, 2015. Scott is a big fan of The Lego Movie ("Everything is awesome! So I decided to make him a lego man cushion to match his quilt. I am not very happy with the bulge in lego man's middle, but I unpicked and resewed him so many times I was worried I was going to end up tearing the fabric. Here it is in use:. I added my label to the back because Grandma will be sure to show off the cushion to anyone and everyone who even comes near the house. She h...

fabricsmith: Chicken cushion
http://fabricsmith.blogspot.com/2015/01/chicken-cushion.html
So much fabric, so little time. Saturday, January 24, 2015. My Grandma Molly loves chickens. She has a little chicken ornament she keeps in the garden and calls Holly. She jokes that she throws Holly a few breadcrumbs every morning when she feeds the birds and they always get eaten. So I decided to make her a chicken related gift she could keep in the house. fabricsmith: September 2014
http://fabricsmith.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
So much fabric, so little time. Tuesday, September 2, 2014. My mum recently made a superheroes quilt for my brother’s girlfriend, Grace. I used up some of the scraps to make these fun pouches. It was difficult to match the blue of Superman's suit and Batman's cape and the yellow fabric I ended up using is actually floral, but I am hoping the boys won't notice! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
