Sunday, December 26, 2010. Not too much going on work wise right now. I recently worked on the Holidayland show over at The Compound Gallery. For my second year. The turn out was amazing and a great time was to be had (a giant squirrel. Was lurking around taking photos - my kind of action). If you are local to the Bay Area I highly recommend heading on over there. The regular stock in the shop is always great and reasonably priced. Hand Sewn Felt Whales. 169; laura borchert 2010. Sunday, December 13, 2009. There is only one week left of the Holidayland. Show at the Compound Gallery/Blank Space Gallery. I have been to the gallery on three separate occasions since it has opened and merchandise is going fast. Prices are completely reasonable and there are great original gift ideas in both galleries. I have been working on new things over the past 4 months, but not nearly as much as I have wanted or should have been. My job drains a lot of life out of me not to mention time which makes it very difficult to sit down and make new things. First off, I have three new paintings to share, which brings the end to a small series of paper paintings I was working on, 5 of which were in the group show which has now ended at La Luz.
