Monthly Archives: October 2014. Adding days to a date in MySQL. October 31, 2014. Honestly, I’d never come up against this. I needed to take a date in mysql and add a certain number of days to it. In this case it was another variable from the database. I didn’t think it would be too hard but simply adding a number to a date, such as TODAY 60, will not work. But MySQL is magical sometimes and has methods that are dead simple. This is what I came up with for the first WHERE statement. Enable Tags in Pages.

Enable Tags in Pages. February 18, 2016. Found this useful when asked why it’s not possible to tag pages in WordPress like posts. Well, it’s possible, we just have to enable it. We insert this little snippet in the theme’s functions.php file. Add tag support to pages. Register taxonomy for object type. Ensure all tags are included in queries. Pretty simple, eh? My understanding is you can just add new lines registering the custom post type but I need to verify this for myself with a bit of testing.
