Monday, 1 October 2012. So Much Writerly News. So much sparkly news at the moment. And all of it good. Whose brand new novel 'Ghost Money' is now available here. First invited me to submit to the anthology, he made it pretty clear this was a no-holds-barred collection. I was encouraged to write dark and as dirty. As Lindy Cameron writes in her introduction to the anthology: ‘Take a good sharp blade to this anthology and let it bleed Aussie noir all over your floor’. Details of the launch can be found here.

Wrangling the Willow: July 2012

http://wranglingthewillow.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 17 July 2012. Today is the second anniversary of my Dad’s death,. And I’ve tried four times to write something worthy. But I just don’t have enough of those words today. So here’s a pic that reminds me of him. It makes my heart leap with the memory of being a little girl whose Daddy was her hero. He would lift me in his huge, safe arms, fling me high into the unknown, and then always, always. Be there to catch me again. no matter how old I got. He was a great dancer. He smelled so good.

Sunday, 22 April 2012. Blood of the Very Best Kind. See this guy with me here? I like him a lot. So much so, I’ve shared my life with him for over twenty years. We met at high school, on my 15. Birthday. These days, we also share three young sons, two dogs and a big ol’ happy home. Right now, with all of my being, I’m thanking the Universe we live in Australia. There’s not enough of it to go round. All it took for Simon was a small bump to the elbow to set this thing off. Sunday, 8 April 2012. The naggin...

Monday, 21 May 2012. A Week of Writerly Goodness. And it doesn’t get much better than that! But, as I said, I’ve had to dip out a little bit lately. This week, I got back into it. Isobelle and The Little Dude. On Tuesday, my littlest boy and I had coffee (actually, it was hot chocolate, a milkshake and a frappe) with the always-inspiring Isobelle Carmody. To the recently awarded Vampire Novel of the Century (Horror Writers Association): I Am Legend. By Richard Matheson, and Danse Macabre,. Which is quite...

Sunday, 3 June 2012. Feeding the Creative Soul. And set up my little bindery again. I promised a friend I’d make her a couple of books, like, a year or so ago (thanks for your patience, Bec) so I had a project ready to get working on. Here’s a few pics of some of the steps:. Painted up dragon eye with pearls. The iris will sit behind the glass bead. This is the almost completed 'guts' of the book. Endpapers have been added, along with bookmark ribbons (2! Wrangling Joy | Bringing God's Joy Into Everyday Life

July 10, 2013. If I told you once…. June 21, 2013. Psalm 119:131- I opened my mouth and panted; for I longed for Thy commandments. As I read these words in my devotions, a conviction came over me. Do I really long for the scripture? Is my craving to be in the Word more than anything? I thought of how a lot of mornings, I awake with a desire for that first cup of coffee. I can’t wait to get it brewed and fixed to my liking and slowly savor each and every sip. Do I have this same. March 25, 2013.

Wrangling Thoughts

Who is this Colt guy? Colt and Heather Ministry Update – July 2015. Asymp; Leave a comment. Summer is for Strategy. Back when I was a youth minister, summers were awesomely productive for ministry and simultaneously exhausting. Between the constant interaction with students, the camps, conferences, weekend events, mission trips, and more I began to fall apart at the end of July. But, the kids were out of school and that is when we could do the most ministry so that was our busy season. What time do you n...

Yeast Wrangler

Tales of trying to tame the wild yeast beast and other kitchen adventures. Saturday, June 18, 2011. Well, I have decided to finally do it. I have decided to change my name here. Unfortunately Yeast Wrangler just doesn't seem to cover all the bases anymore. I have branched out into other baking adventures and have been wanting a name that reflects that. So now, I have decided to go with Heather's Sweets and Treats. Hopefully I can make the transition smooth, but this is not my forte, so who knows. We used...
