Knitterary: July 2012
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Sunday, July 15, 2012. I'm going through one of those phases when I hate all my clothes and want everything new. I'm not a big shopper, and I generally like my clothes, so this is a pretty rare thing. Maybe once every eight years or so? Finished it a week ago, have already laundered it twice and worn it three times. I think this one will get a lot of wear. Very comfy in this blistering heat, so much cooler than pants or shorts. Sunday, July 8, 2012. This is the Mendocino ca...

Knitterary: July 2010

Where Stash and Slush Collide. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Danger Boy Dances in His Underwear. Testing out my new video camera. It's blurry. Or we're all drunk. Take your pick. Sunday, July 18, 2010. Taking It To the Mats. This picture makes my blocking look crooked, but it's really the picture that's wonky. I was standing on a chair with the camera held overhead, and the angle is funny. (Proving once again that I am a genius with a camera.). Labels: St. Brigid. Friday, July 16, 2010. Thursday, July 15, 2010.

Where Stash and Slush Collide. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. On that note, a few promised links regarding our far-ranging conversations of the past ten or so days. RE: the Globe's recent production of Macbeth, which we gather was staged like a horror movie aimed at teenagers:. The Times of London. RE: You can't make this stuff up. It's too perfectly ironic. Where Stash and Slush Collide. Friday, April 27, 2012. Testing the new blogger interface. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Very well," exclaimed Miss Bates; "Then I need not be uneasy. 'Three things very dull indeed.' That will just do for me, you know. I shall be sure to say three dull things as soon as ever I open my mouth, shan't I? Looking round with the most good-humoured dependence on everybody's assent). "Do you not all think I shall? Emma could not resist. "Ah! View my complete profile. SOS07 Mountain...

Knitterary: Sheep! Baby Sheep!
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2011/11/sheep-baby-sheep.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Thursday, November 24, 2011. It was my pleasure to test knit this pattern for Knifty Red, a/k/a Kris Carlson, a/k/a designer extraordinaire. The pattern is now live an on sale at ravelry ( ravlink to pattern. The head swallowed up a shocking amount of stuffing. But the end result is great - really, I can't say enough good about how this came together. It's going into the poor box at church for the Christmas toy drive. It will make some baby out there very happy,...Very well...

Knitterary: September 2010
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Simplicity at its Finest. One skein of yarn. One 4-row garter-based lace pattern. So I clipped it out. I figured I could find a spot in the ball where the color more or less matched the piece before the yarn transitioned to black. And I did, too. In the middle of the ball. I had to rip and reknit the end of this scarf four times to get it right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Emma could not resist. "Ah! Ma'am, but there may be a difficulty. Par...

Knitterary: Goodbye, Gypsy Girls
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2011/09/goodbye-gypsy-girls.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Goodbye, Gypsy Girls. Jetted far away. I knew it was only a matter of time until the socks were goners. And when I pulled them on this morning, I ripped an inch-long hole in the back of the heel. Just, pfft, the fabric tore like wet tissue. No point darning them when they're practically disintegrating already, so these got pitched. I cant believe how much the color leeched out. They were so bright. September 27, 2011 at 8:07 AM. The misadventures of a really busy woman. What’s really important…. A poem for my long lost love. January 31, 2012. Yes, my love. You are gone, gone from my life. Ah, but while you were here our love blossomed. I slept soundly at night, held in your comforting embrace. You always knew how to hold me, supportive. But that was just how you were, our relationship built on support, the give and take I needed to feel comfortable with you. I must say goodbye to you. Beauty blogger to be? January 25, 2012.

August 25, 2011. A yard sale is a great way to free up some of the clutter in your home, while earning a little extra cash. Holy crap, where did all this junk come from? Who’s is this? No, we aren’t putting underwear in the yard sale. Seriously? You want to keep that? I have been doing laundry all week! Oh yeah, y...
