Sunday, July 7, 2013. Who Holds Your Hand. A baby has no fear when holding the hand of their parent. They cling to those fingers, knowing the the loving hands holding them will keep them steady when they falter, and guide them on their path. I was thinking of this image today when reading Psalm 37:24, "When he (a man that is in relationship with God) falls, he will not be hurled headlong because The Lord is the One who holds his hand.". He holds my hand! Thursday, July 4, 2013. Alaskan 4th of July. So it...

HorsmanNorth: September 2013
http://horsmannorth.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 15, 2013. I awoke this morning and the view from the front window was inviting. The light was just beginning to disperse the night's darkness. From my vantage point I could see the trees and fields on Lazy Mountain. There was not a breath of breeze to flutter the leaves on the trees. And so I sat down with my coffee and Bible to enjoy the stillness of a beautiful morning. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Anchorage Native New Life Fellowship. View my complete profile.

Thursday, August 28, 2014. Along For the Ride! 1001 Nachts= Grandkids Adventure=Alaska State Fair. But it matters little- the riders cannot get off the ride. There they will stay, until the moment the ride is over and the operator releases them. The ride started and they have no choice but to ride it out and wait until it is completed. The only choice they have is how they will interact with the motion of the ride- will they interpret it as fun, or with fear? Now, for some cotton candy!

Thursday, January 24, 2013. What question do you ask? You walk up to someone, and you give them your name as you listen to them provide you with their name. You shake hands. Then you ask a question to connect with. If you are a typical, non-Native, you ask what they DO. What is their occupation? If you a in a Native context, then you ask about their family, and wonder about to whom they are related. Interesting, isn't it? Morning thoughts from the camper in a WalMart parking lot in Texas! HorsmanNorth: Lazy Mountain- not too lazy this spring!
http://horsmannorth.blogspot.com/2014/05/lazy-mountain-not-too-lazy-this-spring.html
Sunday, May 25, 2014. Lazy Mountain- not too lazy this spring! We decided to try our hand at tapping birch trees. The idea? It had lingered in our minds, growing over the years. But what really brought it to the forefront was the tapping done by our daughter's family, Cokes, and by our neighbors at Lazy Mountain, the Watts.
