Charlesworth's adventures

Friday, December 07, 2012. Its a wild world. Our planning suggested that animal kingdom would be less crowded today. It's not the most popular park, and the Christmas decorations are a bit more low key here. Our planning was good - we did everything we wanted here, and waiting in no lines! The dinosaurs are scary! Hope they don't time travel back with us. I just love wandering around Asia. The pennants are so colorful, and the backdrop of the mountain is great. Dinner was at kona cafe. A less than ma...

Charlesworth's adventures: July 2009

http://www.wrightworth.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 31, 2009. We started today with a lunch at McDonald's. Even in England, little boys love McDonald's! They had Ice Age toys, which were perfect since Ryan is in a bit of a dinosaur mode. I had a Cadbury's caramel flavored shake - yum! We then went to play cricket at Rufford Park. After that, we went to Sherwood Forest. Home of Robin Hood! On Tuesday, we went to Derby. Wednesday was our rainiest day yet. It rained consistently all day, which made it not much good for anything outdoors....Today...

Charlesworth's adventures: May 2011

http://www.wrightworth.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 30, 2011. Our adventure begins today! We left home this morning, successfully outrunning the rain storm, and are now having a lovely lunch at Mt. Shasta. Of course, before we could leave, Paul decided that Deb needed to do a proper amount of hard labor before she could enjoy a vacation. He directed her to plant at the community garden, and mow the grass while he "supervised.". We look forward to meeting Mickey tomorrow after a very early flight. Posted using BlogPress from my iPad.

Charlesworth's adventures: It's an Epcot kind of day

http://www.wrightworth.blogspot.com/2012/11/it-epcot-kind-of-day.html

Saturday, November 17, 2012. Its an Epcot kind of day. We were tired, so we really slept in this morning. Deb planned dinner at the garden grill, so we could take it easy this morning. As we got into Epcot, the topiaries were amazing. Donald and goofy were skating in the front - so awesome. Loads of pointsettias, too. Just gorgeous. There were also Bambi, thumper, flower, and stitch. So cool. Desert was a yummy baked bread with berries and ice cream. Simple and delicious. We had fast passes for soarin af...

Charlesworth's adventures: November 2012

http://www.wrightworth.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 19, 2012. A mellow day at the movies. Today was our day with no reservations. Since we have a truly magical day planned tomorrow, we decided to be a bit low key today. Of course, there was more than just us in the theater, so hopefully they make up for it in volume. Deb normally loves previews, but five is her limit. Plus, although we were at a vampire movie, did every preview really have to be about witches, vampires, or zombies? Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. We had a nice slow m...

Lift Bridge Cards and Crafts: Botanicals Blog Hop - Gelli Printed Cards

http://liftbridge.blogspot.com/2015/04/botanicals-gelli-printed-cards.html

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Botanicals Blog Hop - Gelli Printed Cards. Welcome to the April blog hop featuring Club Scrap's Botanical kit. If you're lost and want to find the entire list of bloggers, check out their post. This month, I was inspired by the stencil to get out my gelli plate and experiment. I am also running super low on birthday cards, so I needed to make multiples of cards without having them all look identical. For my second layer, I brayered paint onto my plate, covered it with the stenc...

Wednesday, November 26, 2014. A card for frozen Lakes! I hope you are enjoying the Club Scrap blog hop featuring the Lakes kit. I have a simple project to share today as I dip my toe back into blogging - a birthday card for my dear husband. We prefer our water frozen since we ice skate together, and I thought the colors for this were just perfect for a little ice skating penguin. With matching die to cut him out! Lift Bridge Cards and Crafts: Getting Started

http://liftbridge.blogspot.com/p/getting-started.html

If you like what you see on my blog, here are some ideas to get started in papercrafting - in particular, bookbinding, card making, and scrapbooking. If left on a desert island to craft, these are the things I would absolutely want with me. Everything else is icing on the cake. I've provided my favorite places to find some of the supplies. Good quality card stock is a must. I prefer card stock by Club Scrap. In either size ( Club Scrap. I have an RT-200). I like the glue Club Scrap. For basic colors, I l...

Lift Bridge Cards and Crafts: How to make a pocket

http://liftbridge.blogspot.com/2010/05/how-to-make-pocket.html

Sunday, May 30, 2010. How to make a pocket. I find pockets incredibly useful. I like to make pockets that we used to find in library books. I've used them in cards, and also find them handy in books. In a book, they're great to place a CD with photos in it. I'm going to use a pocket to cover the back cover of this book. Trim off the two edges that measure 3/8" x 5" with a craft knife and ruler. To make folding the pocket easier later, cut the strip just a little wider than 3/8", and remove the strip ...

Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Dungarees is Great for Masculine Cards! Welcome to the Dungarees blog hop. Between moving offices last week (temporarily due to remodeling) and the holiday weekend, little time was left for crafting with the Dungarees Lite kit from Club Scrap. Good thing everything coordinates, because I just had to pull out a few sheets of paper, get cutting, and I had the perfect card for my friend. Is also from the Lite kit. Rotate the 7" x 12" piece 90 degrees and cut at 10". For this card, t...

Lift Bridge Cards and Crafts: A flag book for a fabulous vacation

http://liftbridge.blogspot.com/2011/08/flag-book-for-fabulous-vacation.html

Saturday, August 06, 2011. A flag book for a fabulous vacation. So, where have I been? I have a day job at a University, and for three months every year, my schedule is just swamped and leaves no time for blogging. I thought I'd planned in advance for my busy schedule, but it just wasn't meant to be. After recovering from work, we went on a planned and wonderful trip to Disney World (Interested? Read all about it! Or a pad of larger watercolor paper.). The Club Scrap Essentials video. Two pieces of paper...

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Christmas card for my husband - Club Scrap Blog Hop. I know it's just a little bit past the season, but I think this technique would be great for a variety of cards - I just happened to need a Christmas card! I hope you're enjoying the blog hop - if you get lost along the way, a complete list of bloggers is at Club Scrap. I fell in love with the bonus stained glass stencil. For the Reunion kit. Next, I found the area of the stencil I wanted to use, and taped it down. As an e...

This blog started as part of an elaborate wedding present. The idea was that on our trip we should blog from every country we visit, detailing the sights, sounds and smells but most importantly, the beer of what is effectively an extended honeymoon.
