I am now winding up my day here at school and will be turning my attention to my trip to Scotland next week. Welcome to my blog - an update of thoughts and images of a Canadian teaching in the UK. 31 March, 2006. It really steals thunder from the press statement. He was obviously very put off by the question. He said he was still young and improving and walked off in a huff, with good reason. Posted by K. Stoesz at 08:57. 25 March, 2006. Happy Spring, everyone! It’s really interesting to be working at Alderman Blaxill School these days. There is so much going on, especially in the past few weeks. On top of that...

Welcome to my blog - an update of thoughts and images of a Canadian teaching in the UK. 19 November, 2005. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Just to bike along the coast for a while. As I was biking and gawking from left to right, I suddenly thought of the Monty Python. Sketch where this bloke was biking along back roads and getting into accidents it wasn’t the funniest sketch ever, but it made me smile to think about it. Posted by K. Stoesz at 14:52. Welcome to my blog - an update of thoughts and images of a Canadian teaching in the UK. 28 October, 2005. Autumn half-term trip: Wales. Interesting Welsh fact: there are almost 4 times more sheep than people in this country! I spent a couple of nights in Cardiff, touring a couple of castles. And a Science centre called Techniquest. Even on holiday I can’t get away from the Science teacher role! It was good fun, though I think Wallace is a little too silly for my liking. I spent a night in Swansea. The sm...

Welcome to my blog - an update of thoughts and images of a Canadian teaching in the UK. 22 February, 2006. The next day I visited Fota Wildlife Park. I got to watch a Ceili (looks like square dancing), and sit in a pub listening to locals play their music. Over the next few days, I took a tour of the Ring of Kerry. Which was a great way to end my trip. Photos from the trip have been included in Kevin's Photo Albums. Posted by K. Stoesz at 10:26. 13 February, 2006. A traditional music festival in Killarney.

Welcome to my blog - an update of thoughts and images of a Canadian teaching in the UK. 30 June, 2006. Weekend trip to York. This last Monday the Year 10’s were out of the school for a trip which meant there were 2 less lessons for me to plan. My other lessons on Monday were already planned, so I decided that I needed to take advantage of a free weekend. I didn’t decide where to go until the Thursday before the weekend. I ended up going to the stomping grounds of my head of year, York. On sight were also...

Welcome to my blog - an update of thoughts and images of a Canadian teaching in the UK. 30 August, 2005. Setting up Shop in Colchester. I get a big breakfast every morning. These past few days I have been able to act more as a tourist and less as a new UK resident frantically trying to get started up in a new country. After a meeting on Friday, I was able to squeeze in 90 minutes of strolling along in the Museum of Natural History Museum of London. It's free, which is a great price for me, too! Arriving ...
