The Holway Family: July 2012
http://theholwayfamily.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Eric, Amanda, Mallory, Jared, and Roscoe. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. A few weeks ago Mallory started pre-school at a new school. I think she was most excited that she got a lunch box and that we get to pack her lunch everyday. When I asked to take her picture she didn't want me to take one of her, just of her lunch box. I can't believe how big she is, what happened to my cuddly baby? Posted by The Holway's. Sunday, July 22, 2012. Mallory and Noah painting at the downtown art festival. Mallory has also rea...
The Holway Family: November 2013
http://theholwayfamily.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Eric, Amanda, Mallory, Jared, and Roscoe. Sunday, November 10, 2013. Labor Day cupcakes.we didn't have anything else to make, so we went with our monster mix. Mallory holding baby Kate. Every once in a while our laundry folding gets out of control. Always makes for a good before and after. Trying on her dress for Ashley's wedding. She wanted the bow on the front. Mallory's first soccer game. She was so aggressive and actually made a goal. Not what were expecting at all. So excited to wear sweatshirts.
The Holway Family: December 2012
http://theholwayfamily.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Eric, Amanda, Mallory, Jared, and Roscoe. Saturday, December 22, 2012. I don't typically buy Christmas presents until just before Christmas because I hate keeping them a secret. This year a few didn't make it until Christmas. The first was the canvas we had made for Eric's mom. I had planned to keep it until Christmas but forgot to take it off the mantle when she came for a visit. I also got the kids new bikes and the weather was so nice one day I gave them to them early. Posted by The Holway's. I'm not ...
The Holway Family: September 2012
http://theholwayfamily.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Eric, Amanda, Mallory, Jared, and Roscoe. Sunday, September 9, 2012. Since Eric hates going to have our pictures taken, I decided to take the kids outside and take some pictures myself. Here are a few of my favorites. Oh, the irony. Posted by The Holway's. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The tale of or family: Eric, Amanda, Mallory, Jared, and Roscoe (the dog). When I Grow Up...: November 2013
http://elizabeth-whenigrowup.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
It's still November so this isn't THAT late. Ok, maybe it is. Here we have Sofia (totally store bought, thanks mom! Here's King Roland with the kids. I made simple satin sashes with a button and fabric paint letters and sewed up a couple of blingy felt crowns. And the haul. After Lily dumped out her pumpkin bucket (thanks Susan! 1) The Art of Weekending. She's doing so great! I found some random things in her bed when I changed the sheets, but she had been playing in there earlier so I didn't think much ...

When I Grow Up...: Gym Rat
http://elizabeth-whenigrowup.blogspot.com/2014/01/gym-rat.html
1) I am a runner. That means I run outside, rain, shine, snow, cold, whatever. The gym is for when you're sick or injured, or for lifting. And that lifting has to be serious free-weights, not little two-pound dumbbells and certainly not machines. 2) Working out with your kids is easy and fun! Pop in a video, do some yoga together, put them in the stroller for a jog! It's so great for them to see you being healthy! 3) I'm an athlete. That means you have to compete. When I Grow Up...: December 2012
http://elizabeth-whenigrowup.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Resolution Check-In 11: Non-Stress. 1) Exercise for 20 minutes per day. 2) Send one letter per week. Another fail. I can't think of a single letter I sent this month. 3) Bake and decorate one thing outside of work per month. 4) Stop comparing myself to other moms. After 4 days of doing everything I can only another half a centimeter? I was crushed. That's not even really enough to have your membranes truly swept. She did what she could and I made another appointment for Monday. This baby boy was going to...

When I Grow Up...: November 2012
http://elizabeth-whenigrowup.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Instant holiday decor. Lily kept requesting to turn of the lights so she could look at them and say "Oooh! There are lots of Christmas crafts in the works, most as presents for other people so that post will come later. (We also have back-up present ideas in case the crafting doesn't happen with the arrival of the new one.) Lily is soooo excited about Christmas. Every morning she wakes up and sees the tree all lit up she makes this huge surprised face, covers her mouth, and gasps "So pe-ah! She usually s...

Between the Lines
Off the cuff observations and rants regarding just about anything I'm feeling at the moment. Monday, March 23, 2015. As we go through the days leading up to Easter I am reminded of not only what Christ endured to secure our salvation, but also the miracle of his resurrection. I can only imagine what it was like on that morning, walking along, downcast, depressed, trying to come to terms with having lost the most important figure to walk the earth. Posted by mikeeg @ 3/23/2015 10:33:00 AM. Pepe, you win m...

Write, damn it.
Write, damn it. The Legend of Grassman. I got a new toy. Now I can write. April 16, 2013 in Writing. A big part of my problem is my ADD, which I will allow it’s own post(s) to elaborate. Suffice it to say, I will find myself all over the ends of the Internet by the end of the night wondering how the hell I got there. It’s something I’m actively working on fighting. Again, more on that later. Brandon Sanderson (Photo credit: Gandalf.). I Should Be Writing. And Mary Robinette Kowal. A100, a nice 7″ t...

Emporio Danio | hubbub-a-loo & many nonsense
Hubbub-a-loo and many nonsense. I snagged a last minute permit to day-hike Mt. Whitney. So I got in my car and drove over to Lone Pine, CA on Thursday night and picked up my lucky pass Friday morning. View from Eastern Sierra Interagency Office where I picked up the permit and took a glance at what I was aiming toward. At the trailhead. My permit isn’t valid until Saturday but I’m allowed to go up to about 9000 feet or so which will be perfect for some good views and good training. Mirror Lake wasn’...
WriteDance@F&M
Putting dance into words is difficult but possible, and is sometimes beautifully done. It is critical for a successful career in any aspect of dance. Through this blog, we investigate dance writing in the form of writing by dancers, literature (fiction and poetry) that contains dance references, scenarios for choreography, dance journalism including criticism, and dance and notation. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. In what context is judgment of beauty deemed 'acceptable'? I am by no means intending to def...
