Write Life Coaching - Blog

How to Have Your Conflict and Eat it Too. From Boring Life to Brilliant Fiction. Making scenes out of soy milk. Oh well, I think. Soy milk’s okay. Less fattening than dairy. Get over it. Get on with it. Disheartened and disappointed, I open my laptop and get to work. The ceremony takes a couple hours to finish. The wedding goes off without a hitch. I fly home. Life goes on. Good writers brew conflict from everything. Tedious little anecdote, isn’t it? No conflict equals no buzz equals sleepy readers.

Asking questions and discovering how little I know. We Like People and Stories. June 4, 2015. We continually see references to content. It’s spoken of as if it’s a tangible quantity, something measurable, a thing you can stock the shelves with. In the case of the Internet, it would be shelves on the web and social media platforms. Posts and tweets and fan pages. We know we have it because it’s in the spreadsheet and we’ve done some number crunching with the data. But what. How do you replicate it? People...

Write Your Life Away | STARING THROUGH A BROKEN WINDOW AT THE WORLD OUTSIDE.

Write Your Life Away. STARING THROUGH A BROKEN WINDOW AT THE WORLD OUTSIDE. Hi, my name is Paul and I’m a writer. I’m also a sailor, kayaker, IT Professional, keen reader, boyfriend, and obsessed with my lack of ability to stick to anything. I’ve finally decided to amalgamate my various internet based outlets into a single place. This blog has an archive of posts from when I wrote a post every day for a year (2012) and the various bits and pieces that I have written before and after that year.

Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Triple Three @ Mandarin Orchard. It’s August already! Haven’t been blogging for a good 6 months and it just proves one thing – you don’t have much time when you work at Ernst and Young. The internship in EY was a fruitful one nonetheless. Met many seniors and really got me ready for the future. Got to say it wasn’t bad at all. There was a wide variety ranging from the usual Chinese and Indian Dishes to fresh seafood. Saturday, February 25, 2012. I won’t give up on us. We also ...

Stories and insights about life and faith, sundry notions, and notes across life. 2017: Year for Practical and Organized Living. January 8, 2017. January 8, 2017. For the past years, I’ve made a self-tradition of establishing one empowering word for the new year. In 2016, I did a little change-up to that tradition, and instead tied the year through anchor verses. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to keep up with posting more anchor verses (I only posted two.yikes! In me I love reading blogs,. Out of that simp...

Write Life Now | What if a writing journey became something else?

What if a writing journey became something else? What I’m Reading. Changing the Plot of Your Life, Part I – The Villains and Character Development. So, I thought, if you want to reach a sense of peace and serenity, maybe it’s time to change the plot of your life. First, how do you feel about the plot of your life? If you review your life’s plot, are there are lots of villains? If you smiled at the word villain, you might be okay! So what did I do? If this were a novel, would your villains be cardboard?
