Sunday, 17 June 2012. The Writer in You Blog Hop (5). The Writer in You Blog Hop is hosted by The Fiction Diaries. There'll be a question relating to "writing" each Saturday. This week's question is:. Q: When did you know you wanted to be a writer? Did you share it with people or keep it to yourself? Can I consider writing as my permanent job, please? Hope you've had a great weekend! Posted by Michelle Chew. Labels: The Writer In You. 17 June 2012 at 16:02. Of course you can! 19 June 2012 at 09:58. I beg...

Michelle Chew: April 2012

http://writermichellechew.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Monday, 23 April 2012. I've just decided to set up a blog just for my works and it's up and running now! My progress would be pretty slow considering that I am taking exams in May and then I will be looking for a full-time job (even though it would be really GREAT to be a full-time writer but that's for much later if possible). I'm not sure when I will be able to finish my first draft but I'm looking forward to see the completed manuscript. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Leave them a word of encouragement!

Celine Johanson: August 2012

http://celinejohanson.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, 11 August 2012. So Many Ideas, So Little Time. But, there is also good news! While at work I got a sudden flash of inspiration for a horror short. I haven't written a horror short in years (I wrote two under the pen name Finn Herloce, which you can find here. If interested), but I loved the twist in this one. When I came home I immediately wrote down the outline in Scrivener so I can't forget it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 13,300/40,000 words. View my complete profile.

Celine Johanson: Writing the Old-Fashioned Way

http://celinejohanson.blogspot.com/2013/10/writing-old-fashioned-way.html

Wednesday, 16 October 2013. Writing the Old-Fashioned Way. So I decided to try if writing the old-fashioned way would help. It's slower, but it's more portable and won't force me to spend even more time on a computer than I already do on a daily basis. So, I'm now writing in a note book with fountain pen. So far it's been great. I managed to write almost 700 words today, after not having written anything in over a month. I call that progress! The first draft of Dragonslayer. I hope to see you again soon.

Celine Johanson: Camp NaNoWriMo

http://celinejohanson.blogspot.com/2012/05/camp-nanowrimo.html

Friday, 11 May 2012. To continue my writing throughout the month of June, I'm going to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo. For those of you not familiar with the abbreviation: National Novel Writing Month). In about 20 days thousands of people will try to reach one goal: to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of June. I'll probably be working on Dragonslayer during NaNoWriMo, unless I manage to finish it before then. Wishful thinking! 12 May 2012 at 06:40. Good luck with Dragonslayer! 14 May 2012 at 02:57.

Celine Johanson: #Nanowrimo 2013 Plans

http://celinejohanson.blogspot.com/2013/10/nanowrimo-2013-plans.html

Sunday, 20 October 2013. I've decided to join the madness that's Nanowrimo - National Novel Writing Month! Instead of the 50K goal that's usual for Nano's I'm going to write a children's book. Since a children's book isn't supposed to be that long my goal will be between 15 and 20K, basically just until the story is finished. I don't want to add word fat just to reach a 50K goal, I want to get out of this month with a complete manuscript. I decided not to write Dragonslayer. 13,300/40,000 words.

Michael Mott: Poet, Novelist, Biographer - About

Michael Mott: Poet, Novelist, Biographer. Where we were standing. When the rain walked round us. With a jingle of mule tackle. On the piney air. And a cat snicker of hog flesh twisted on a stick. Like a live snake trying to get. Backing out of the fire. And a jug of buttermilk. Brought by some girl so lean. In her wet shreds of floursacks. My heart hit me. Not for love but the poor peakish look of her. And for bringing up buttermilk. Coming up that mountain in the snarl of a spring morning. Mott was awar...

Whispering to Myself | The Musings of a Wonderer

The Musings of a Wonderer. Bull;August 3, 2015 • Leave a Comment. Bull;July 28, 2015 • 1 Comment. One night. . . I nearly stumbled on the stars at my feet. A rising tide of heady scent from the jasmine petals. Bright as new born suns on the milky path. Their magic blazing in the night. One day. . . I looked up and wondered. How can the ocean be in the clouds? Lifting foamy white tops. Frozen in mid-curl by the cold stratosphere. The wind holds my breath. These are everyday blessings. The feather slid out.
