From the Barrel of the Gunn. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Gratuitous flour eating photos. Man, he almost got the camera in that last shot. As you can see, he is still absolutely enthralled when we pull out the electronics and he thinks he might get to play with them. Posted by Amy Gunn. Look out, world. . . Posted by Amy Gunn. Sunday, November 4, 2012. For Halloween this year, we dressed James up as Batman. He had fun crawling/walking around with his cape trailing behind him. I can't help but giggle myself.

From the Barrel of the Gunn. Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Utah trip for Marjorie Higginson's funeral, May 2012. James had a difficult time with the road trip, but by the end we were getting pretty good at entertaining him with one of us riding in the back seat, talking to him and helping him eat and play with toys. James sits patiently while his cousin Lorena tries to mold him to her will. He's not that patient anymore, let me tell you! Showing off his ability to almost get up on hands and knees and crawl.

From the Barrel of the Gunn. Sunday, March 18, 2012. It's that time again. Okay, it's a few weeks past that time, since he's coming up on four months now, but here we are anyway. James' milestones this month have been a lot of fun. Here are a few of them:. Eating his first solid food (rice cereal, and a little banana). Holding his head up on his own. Playing with his toys (and eating them). Discovering his feet and toes. Sitting up with support. Playing for longer periods of time by himself. Jeep and Nis...

From the Barrel of the Gunn. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Well, the month of November has officially begun. I think when most of us picture November we think of colorful falling leaves, lots of rain (at least here in the Pacific Northwest), and turkey with stuffing. But at least for Tom and me it just wouldn't be November without NaNoWriMo. Happy November, everybody! Posted by Amy Gunn. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Ultrasound pictures from 10/06/11. From the Barrel of the Gunn. Sunday, December 25, 2011. An Open Letter To My Son In Honor of His Birthday. First, welcome to the world! I wanted to take the opportunity, as your new “old man” to give you some advice. And it's gifts and receiving that my first advice to you directly concerns. As you get older you're going to hear a lot of people say something to the tune of “tis better to give than to receive.” Maybe this is new to you since, well, everything. Receiving gets harder as you get older. O...

http://gunnbarrel.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
From the Barrel of the Gunn. Sunday, April 29, 2012. James is already 4 months old, and we can hardly believe it. At his checkup about 2 weeks before his 4 month mark he was weighing in at 14lb 7oz and measuring 26.5 inches. He's wearing 6-9 month size clothes and getting more fun to be around every day. Some of his milestones this past month have been:. Rolling over in both directions, though still not on purpose. Making crawling motions like an inch worm, and actually moving. Sucking on his toes. Tuesd...
