Easy summer tomato gazpacho. | writes4food
http://writes4food.com/2013/07/simple-gazpacho-soup-recipe
Recipes and wisdom from a Midwestern kitchen. Easy summer tomato gazpacho. July 16, 2013. Now that we’re full-on into tomato season, I’m playing around with one of my favorite summer dishes: gazpacho. I love white gazpacho. A creamy and zingy chilled soup that’s built on a base of cucumber, green apple and Greek yogurt. Of course, there’s my garbage gazpacho recipe. Which I developed last summer when I had a drawer-full of waning produce in the refrigerator that needed to be used and fast. Click to share...

Monday, April 5, 2010. I recently had the opportunity to visit India with my company's philanthropic organization, OneSight. A family of charitable vision care programs dedicated to improving vision through outreach, research and education. Through OneSight, Luxottica employees, doctors, partners and other community volunteers give the gift of sight. My team and I traveled to the city of Jodhpur. In the city of Rajasthan. Casa en la Cocina: August 2013
http://www.casaenlacocina.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Casa en la Cocina. Home in the Kitchen. Real Food for Real Life. Monday, August 19, 2013. Caramel Peanut Butter Pie. Back story here- I've been on a "diet break" after losing 65 pounds and maintaining it for 2 months. As the "diet" starts again today for the last 35 pounds, I wanted something really, really naughty. This led to the pantry where I found only one can of sweetened condensed milk, not the necessary two. Darn! I did find two cans of dulce de leche. But I had no chocolate in the house, grrr!

Casa en la Cocina. Home in the Kitchen. Real Food for Real Life. Monday, May 20, 2013. Best friends and tequila. Girl's nights are great. Is there a better way to spend an evening than with a girlfriend (or more), sipping adult beverages, nibbling on tasty bites, and just talking? If you know me at all, you know that I much prefer my adult beverages on the dry side, and I find that premade cocktail mixes are entirely too sweet. I've written before about creating the perfect margarita,. Was that ever good!

Writing about food, wellness and design. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Let’s make work a nicer place. May 13, 2015. I’m just back from three days at HOW Design Live. Unexpectedly and perhaps unintentionally a prominent theme pulsed through the event, linking many of they keynote presentations. It was a theme of kindness. Simon Sinek talked about it. So did Tina Roth Eisenberg and Tom Peters. Brené Brown touched on it, too. As Simon Sinek pointed out, workplaces large and small have ...

Meditations From The Psalms
Meditations From The Psalms. Hidden within the psalms are timeless lyrics of devotion, petition, angst and love for an unchanging, unfailing God. As we journey through these songs, my prayer is that you and I will be enriched through the psalmists' experiences of the undying mercies of God. Thursday, May 03, 2007. Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. They say, "How can God know? To arrive at this conclu...

Recipes and wisdom from a Midwestern kitchen. August 7, 2015. Come summertime, I feast on tomatoes, and gazpacho is one of my favorite ways to use them. Over the years, I’ve shared a couple of recipes for gazpacho, including this super-easy food processor gazpacho. And a smooth and creamy gazpacho. That’s just as tasty. 1 cup of bread cubes, cut from stale white bread or a baguette with the crusts removed. 1 cup vegetable broth. 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt. 1 cup blanched sliced almonds, toasted. Drizzle...
Free Your Mind
Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Writing in the blog format turned out to be the biggest learning experience I have ever got in an English class. Here I was expressing my views and writing what I thought was great and coherent works on my blog but was really a jumbled mess of ideas not in order. In the semester we reached mid-way in the class and it was time for the mid-term. I wrote what I thought was destined for an “A” but turned out to be “Hey! What are you talking about here? I still have a lot of work to do...

Being at the crying end of the telephone, too many times and for far too long. The cries are loud and pathetic or are somedays stifled and muted. At the other end, the words are sharp like a butcher’s knife and sting like lemon and salt rubbed on an open wound. November 3, 2014. Writes from her soul. After a certain point of time.
