Family Tribune: Haiti Orphanage Update

The Life and Times of Our Family. Friday, January 15, 2010. Some of you may be wondering how Foyer de Sion is fairing in Haiti. Here's a little update on the director's family and the orphanages. Been about five weeks. Still no news on the Guesno's son (guardianship), his name is Gardy. All the children appear to be okay. The children have been relocated from two of the three locations. The Fontamara location is intact. There is a movement stateside to try to expedite the visa's for the adopted children.

The Life and Times of Our Family. Monday, January 4, 2010. We've been O' so busy. I finished my first semester of school. I did well and enjoyed the classes, except for when I was pulling my hair out in frustration. I really appreciate my family's help with my first couple of English papers. It really helped me to get my mind working. I'm hoping to buy the rest of my textbooks today. I look forward to skimming them and getting a head start on my classes. The Life and Times of Our Family. Monday, April 26, 2010. She competed in the State Geography Bee, but she didn't make it to the final ten. She did a great job. Miriam finally got to play her violin at church. It was stake conference. No pressure! I was home sick, but I heard she did a good job. The Life and Times of Our Family. Thursday, August 20, 2009. Last Week of Summer. We're very busy filling in the last moments of summer. We're using the neighboring tennis courts, watching movies, cleaning rooms, visiting with friends, and some other important things that had to be done before our summer life ends and school begins. The Life and Times of Our Family. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Sorry, no pics allowed! Rich took me to a street dance last Friday night. We started off with a BBQ dinner and then hit the street for some dancing. Luckily, we went with some friends who kept me company on the dance floor. I had a blast! The Life and Times of Our Family. Sunday, March 8, 2009. Miriam has kept our life very busy these past couple weeks or more. We thought her scholarship application was going to be the end of us. The Life and Times of Our Family. Sunday, May 24, 2009. May 24, 2009 Update. Had her final school concert last Thursday. They did a wonderful job! It's amazing the difference of a few months. Her teacher dedicated the "Wedding Dance" to his fiancee. It was very romantic. Worked in the community garden a week ago Saturday. They had good time setting out the row markers.
