https://writinghertravels.wordpress.com/2015/08/19/bucharest-and-baby-back-in-bucharest
Travel writing and fiction by women from around the world. BUCHAREST AND BABY: Back in Bucharest. August 19, 2015. And … we did it! Yes, BabyB, my dad and I are all safely back in Bucharest with a minimum of hassle. Amazingly, BabyB – who has recently refused to got to the end of our road by car – managed a journey of over 2,000 kilometres by a combination of car, coach, plane and taxi. And now back in Bucharest, time to start picking up the threads of my expat life…. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

EXPAT LIFE: My first capsule wardrobe – Writing her travels

Travel writing and fiction by women from around the world. EXPAT LIFE: My first capsule wardrobe. August 28, 2015. I have a confession: I am the worst packer. I always end up with an entirely unsuitable selection of clothes (skin-tight velvet trousers in Tajikistan), missing something vital (yes, I was the lady at the Astana Economic Forum in a skirt suit and white trainers) or packing the right things in the wrong way (should not have put that tupperware pot of leftover soup next to my evening dress).

EXPAT LIFE: The things we bring from home – Writing her travels

Travel writing and fiction by women from around the world. EXPAT LIFE: The things we bring from home. August 17, 2015. Not so in 2015 in Romania where I can buy anything I need from peanut butter and chocolate digestives to the right printer cartridges and Zara jackets. So why the urge to acquire in England and haul it to Bucharest? I’m guessing it’s the need to cling onto a bit of home. What do you bring back when you’re home for a visit, and why? On the parallels between travel and writing, and the problems of travel writing | Places That Don't Exist
https://placesthatdontexist.wordpress.com/2015/08/07/on-the-parallels-between-travel-and-writing-and-the-problems-of-travel-writing
Places That Don't Exist. On parts of the world you won't find on the map. On the parallels between travel and writing, and the problems of travel writing. Travel writing would benefit from greater awareness of the similarity between the processes of traveling and writing it shouldn’t be understood as writing. Traveling, but more as writing. Traveling and even more importantly – as traveling. Writing. What do I mean by that? Voyage Around My Room. Night Voyage Around My Room. Choose an angle, tell a story.

A Blog About Writing, From A Slightly Cabin-Feverish Canuck. WritingHermit’s Big Job and Resource Page. The $10 is a Decent Wage Lie. October 1, 2008 in Uncategorized. When anyone tells me that I should see $10 an hour jobs as good money, I worry. I worry that it is sending out the wrong message to writers and to clients. I have also noticed that writers who ask for fair wages sometimes get treated as though they are greedy and unreasonable even though the math shows they are in the right. 8212; My Lifet...

Self Esteem: What is This and Why It is Important. Self Esteem is defined as the evaluation of one’s own worth. Just another WordPress.com site. The Name on the Diet Coke Bottle. June 21, 2015. For the second summer in a row, Coca-Cola is putting first names on bottles and cans of Diet Coke, Coke, the boy’s version of Diet Coke whose name I forget (black label), and that odd one with the green label (anybody remember New Coke?
