Writing in <CODE>
http://www.writingincode.com/projects/calendar-sun.html
In this Internet-connected age it's not that difficult to find out when the sun is going to rise and set on a given day at a given location. On the other hand, it's not as easy as it should be, either. This calendar attempts to right that wrong. Once it's setup for your location (which amounts to entering your lat/long coordinates and time zone) it just works. See a real-world example. Opens in a new tab/page).

Yes, there are already many tools available for viewing the raw bytes of a binary file. Q: Why, then, write one in VBScript? A: Because sometimes you work for a totalitarian regime and can't install a piece of software regardless of its utility, but, even under these Draconian rules, you still need to reverse-engineer a file format. That's why.

So many airport and NAVAID ID's, so little time.to look them up. Rather than clear an aircraft to 48U, just click a few buttons and bust out Cleared to GREATER GREEN RIVER INTERGALACTIC SPACEPORT. Amaze your friends. Or pilots. Or anyone that's easily amazed. Demonstrate your mastery of JO 7350.8. This software easily integrates with existing information display systems. I AM A NERD! Yeah, that's right: I am. A nerd. Geek. Whatever. I type Dvorak, read binary, and think programatically. And there's nothing you can do about it. I like solving interesting programming problems. Interesting to me, that is. Non-interesting problems need not apply. Think you have an interesting problem for me to obsess over? Let me know; I'll let you know if you're right. You can't buy me, but you.

Writing in Circles | Because friends don't let friends write alone.
Because friends don't let friends write alone. To a brand-new site called. Writing in Circles.org. Hello, 602 Classmates! It’s me, Helen. I’ve made this website for the first Collaborative Exploration in CCT-602*, which you have all completed already. The “Creativity” tab, in particular, will provide tips for writers and others interested in increasing their creativity. Note that at the time of this writing, the site and the Creativity tab are still “works in progress.”. Thanks, and enjoy! August 12, 2013.

Writing in Circles | Where words go ’round
Boy, oh boy. Ok, so it’s been awhile. And I’ve got to say a lot has changed in my life. Last I checked in it was right after the SXSW music festival (which also happened to be about the same time I found out I am pregnant). Anywho, the main purpose of this post was just to jot down some thoughts about yesterday. I went to dr. to have my 20-week ultrasound and found out that the baby is a BOY! Pretty exciting stuff. It’s truly amazing that a tiny boy is living inside me (wacky)! What a wonderful adventure.
Writing in <CODE>
Love it or hate it, your life is affected by millions of lines of code every single day. Sometimes for the good; sometimes not. Most times it's taken for granted, noticed only in its absence like some background hum of life. In more and more ways, in all fields and disciplines, it is readily apparent that there are any number of solutions to problems, improvements to systems, and potential innovations just waiting to be implemented, lacking only a few lines of code. I write that code.
