Inspirational messages: helpful or harmful? | Liz Clark
https://lizmarieclark.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/inspirational-messages-helpful-or-harmful
Inspirational messages: helpful or harmful? February 27, 2013. The other day, my “little” brother, Caleb, and I were chatting on the phone about the inspirational messages we see everywhere. I see them on tea bags, blogs, bumper stickers, Facebook posts, viral YouTube videos, etc. 8220;Believe in yourself! 8220;You can do anything you put your mind to! 8220;Be yourself; you’re great! 8220;Believe you can and you will! I’m not promoting having low self esteem, but I do think that messages like these.

The unborn | Liz Clark
https://lizmarieclark.wordpress.com/2013/01/23/the-unborn
January 23, 2013. Here is my first trimester Peter boy. He was just as much him even though he was small, dependent, and located in my womb. Today I came across a world clock. That counts up info about population, illness, food, environment, energy, etc. per year. On the “death” tab, I noticed abortions were listed. Right now, it says that as of January 1 of this year, 867,870* abortions have been committed. About every three seconds, the counter advances. 8221; I wanted to scream. “Stop! What do I do?

Transforming an ungrateful heart | Liz Clark

Transforming an ungrateful heart. February 22, 2013. When the blessings in my life go unnoticed, I find that I spend an awful lot of time focusing selfishly – often ungratefully – on myself. So much for loving God and others well! How silly this is! If I just take two seconds to think about what Yahweh God has done for me, how could I be ungrateful? How could I not praise Him for His goodness? He deserves all glory and honor and praise – even over the little things. Thank you for reading. Please foll...

Give thanks, for there is no one like Yahweh. March 1, 2013. DEVELOPING A HEART OF GRATITUDE. Trying to develop more awareness for the simple, daily blessings from God, I began last week. To post about those blessings. I shared that oftentimes not seeing the blessings leads to a sense of ungratefulness that turns my heart away from God. That must change. A shift must take place in my heart: God deserves all the glory, even over the small things. 8220;There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,. Little...

The importance of interest | Liz Clark
https://lizmarieclark.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/the-importance-of-interest
The importance of interest. March 8, 2013. Early in our marriage, I learned how valuable it is to take a genuine interest in Nathan’s passions. For example, my husband has loved hockey since he was a little boy. So now I love it too. I cheer for the Colorado Avalanche alongside him and then cheer for him as he scores goals for the Medium-speed Zombies, his roller hockey team. I can’t wait until Peter will stand at the glass cheering, “Go, Daddy! You know what the awesome part is? Thank you for reading...
