WRITING THE CITY: The corners erode with time

http://writingthecity.blogspot.com/2005/02/corners-erode-with-time.html

Sunday, February 06, 2005. The corners erode with time. Before the trip, my memories of San Antonio had been about the many tourist attractions Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, Spurs games, the Hemisfair area, the Alamo, and the Riverwalk. I believe these are all ideals that the citizens of San Antonio strive toward. Yet, the reality of the area is a far cry away from these fantastic venues. The sites are course, hard, cold, dulled, and empty. What remains is only a memory of what once was. Per...Born ...

Stoplights/stopsigns (indicative of car traffic) - wire over road suspended between wooden dowels. Crosswalks/sidewalks - same material as base, slightly raised (crosswalks marked in w/something - spray paint, pencil, marker? Cross signals (indicative of pedestrian traffic) - wooden dowel. WRITING THE CITY: First Visit

http://writingthecity.blogspot.com/2005/02/first-visit.html

Monday, February 07, 2005. Looking back on our first visit to San Antonio, I quickly see the qualities of each location that make if unique from the others but there are also those factors that bind them together. Overall, I used this visit as a time of absorbing the area and drawing parallels and discovering interesting aspects to research further. Posted by Ranae @ 3:21 PM. Citysite : design4 : 2005. Just another WordPress.com site. January 27, 2011. New York City Rhyming Poem. January 27, 2011. The streets were said to be paved with gold. In the land of milk and honey. But they now look old. People stand out in the cold. Hoping for others to give them money. Where the streets were said to be paved with gold. At the street vendors, fruits are sold. To the people of New York City. Where the streets were said to be paved with gold. In the winter a person stands strong and bold. Bundled up like a bunny.
