vintage-maedel: August 2011
http://vintage-maedel.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 25, 2011. I love doing laundry.despite the title of this post. Emptying the clothes hampers. The scent of laundry detergent. Hearing the water swishing in the washer. Reveling in the fact that I don't need to use a washboard to scrub mud-splattered pants. Hanging clothes outside in the bright sunshine. Seeing all the towels hanging in order from darkest to lightest.Biggest to smallest. Yes,I am picky like that. White sheets flapping in the wind-reminding me of peace. Even tho we have.

vintage-maedel: October 2012

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. We had a picnic/party in the backyard this summer to celebrate the life of Neveah Starr.Less than 12 hours later I was in the doctor's office hearing the news that the baby had died. Was he/she still alive when we celebrated? I hung some white sheets on the washline and covered the picnic table with an old quilt. Bouquets of Baby's Breath(the perfect flower for this occasion) and snippets of boxwood greenery in metal cans were used for center peices. These were so juicy! I cut o...

Saturday, December 24, 2011. Are you ready for Christmas? A shot from the dining room. The right side of the dining room/living room doorway. I still have the "give thanks" pillow out from Dear Lilli's blog.I figured we still need to be reminded to be thankful-especially this holiday season.I bought some Silent Night/Holy Night downloads off Etsy to make pillow covers.I didn't get them made with everything else that's going on. A view from the front entrance. This toy chest is just inside the front entra...

This Life I Call Mine: Living in the Moment
http://4ofuslivin4him.blogspot.com/2014/09/we-have-this-moment-to-hold-in-our.html
This Life I Call Mine. Thursday, September 11, 2014. Living in the Moment. We have this moment to hold in our hands and to touch. As it slips through our fingers like sand. Yesterdays gone and tomorrow may never come. But we have this moment, today. Hold tight to the sound of the music of living. Happy sounds from the laughter of children at play. Hold my hand as we walk through the sweet fragrant meadows. Making memories of what was today. Tiny voice that I hear is my little girl calling. Nothing wrong ...

This Life I Call Mine: June 2014
http://4ofuslivin4him.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
This Life I Call Mine. Friday, June 27, 2014. Yes, She's Still a Princess. Today I'm going to share with you, nothing profound, maybe not even inspiring.but a little humorous. I found a book at the library that TOTALLY describes my Princess H. (and maybe her mommy just a little bit.). Hailey has been a tomboy from the start. Till she was maybe 3? She prefers trucks and trees over dolls and tea cups. We like pink, but yellow and orange do just as well for us. Flowers and chocolate make us smile. Some prin...

This Life I Call Mine: Hey Dad,
http://4ofuslivin4him.blogspot.com/2014/09/hey-dad.html
This Life I Call Mine. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. This morning I would love to call you. I'd love to hear your voice. I'd love to hear you give me advice! The unfairness of life suddenly hit me. really hard. I'm thinking you would probably tell me that's just how life is. Life isn't always fair. But I would still just really want to hear you say that.in person. I know the things we face in life are always for our good. Even if we don't see it. They better us.Eventually.If we let them. Because you des...
