Written Wind: enough
http://writtenwind.blogspot.com/2008/02/enough.html
Poetry is the impish attempt to paint the color of the wind. Maxwell Bodenheim. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Because we aren't. Enough that is. There is so much to do, so much that is needed, and so much that we could do, and we just don't quite manage. I've talked about this before. It is never enough. These small things we do. Acts of compassion and love. A smile, a gift. A house built, a life bettered. A law changed, a sentence commuted. Help extended, debt forgiven. It is never enough. A move to a l...
Written Wind: I've walked here before
http://writtenwind.blogspot.com/2008/02/ive-walked-here-before.html
Poetry is the impish attempt to paint the color of the wind. Maxwell Bodenheim. Friday, February 22, 2008. I've walked here before. Sometimes life is just unfair. I've walked here before. This trip past the edge of the cliff. Trusting in skilled bridge to carry me across. I've walked here before. The tedium of waiting. Waiting for the edge. Waiting for the other side. I've walked here before. I've seen these looks,. Of fear, bewilderment, and. Misunderstanding placidity for courage. Which I cannot stop.
Written Wind: September 2007
http://writtenwind.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Poetry is the impish attempt to paint the color of the wind. Maxwell Bodenheim. Saturday, September 22, 2007. Although this is written in a call and response format, it is also inner dialogue. Both at the same time. Multiple layers of truth. Just like so much else. They say: You are too young. I say: God has always called the young. They say: You are too idealistic. I say: Great vision is the product of faith. They say: What about your gender? I say: God called me, for who I am. I say: Teach me. There ar...
Written Wind: February 2008
http://writtenwind.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Poetry is the impish attempt to paint the color of the wind. Maxwell Bodenheim. Thursday, February 28, 2008. I love words. I love playing with them; I love the challenge of finding the right word; I love the power words hold- to shape and define the world. Sad, hard words that repeat. Filling my mind, my heart. I know only through pale. Past ripples of the same. All the futures I have dreamed. Words, repeating even still. Repeating and mutating as I. Dream nightmares of the. Futures they could mean.

Faith to be Strong, Strength to be Faithful: December 2007
http://faithtobestrong.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Faith to be Strong, Strength to be Faithful. Wednesday, December 19, 2007. No, I've missed holidays at home because of realities in my life- realities of money and time. Practical realities. And this is something that is only going to happen more often. My life, the one I chose, includes a fairly demanding schedule and certain inflexible areas which often fall around holidays. Which is, well, not fine, but part of life and something we'll work through. Links to this post. Saturday, December 8, 2007.

I found treasure not where I thought, peace of mind can’t be bought…. January 18, 2008. Posted by introspectreangel in blogging. I have lost my marriage. I think I may have lost my religion, too. I’ve lost my independence, and my reason. If I could figure out a way to stay in bed 24 hours a day and sleep, I would. Am I sick, mad, or both? Can I just go to sleep now? And never wake up? 1 madnessmanifesto - January 18, 2008. 2 introspectreangel - January 19, 2008. January 21, 2008. January 21, 2008. I have...

Faith to be Strong, Strength to be Faithful: February 2008
http://faithtobestrong.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Faith to be Strong, Strength to be Faithful. Thursday, February 28, 2008. Sometimes I wonder why I write. And then I wonder why I blog. And then, sometimes, I get an answer. I was poking around the blogosphere today and I stumbled a blog which linked back to here. Observant readers of Written Wind. Will note that I also link there, however, visiting hasn't made the high priority list this past week. The poem for today was, for me, an answer. It is possible that things will not get better. I write because...

Written Wings | Write until you fly.
Write until you fly. The Story of the Writer. Cover Letters & Redundancies. August 3, 2011. Image by Auntie P via Flickr. No one told me about the thing called a “cover letter.”. First, introduce yourself and state briefly what you are applying for and a brief qualifying statement. Well, alright, any applicant who doesn’t let the hiring department know what job their resume is to be applied to is in a sinking ship. Qualifying statements are usually placed at the top of a resume, however, and al...Resume ...
