http://aidanwitheos.blogspot.com/2015/04/checking-in.html
Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Friday, April 3, 2015. Sometimes, so much time passes since I last wrote, I feel like I should have something monumental to say. But I don't, so I don't say anything at all, and then you don't hear anything from us until something awful happens. Nothing awful has happened. We're still here, taking things one day at a time and trying to keep it all in perspective when I think it's all too much. Hi, I'm checking in for my Awake Study? We chec...

Aidan... With Eos: Feeding Tube Awareness Week 2015
http://aidanwitheos.blogspot.com/2015/02/feeding-tube-awareness-week-2015.html
Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Monday, February 16, 2015. Feeding Tube Awareness Week 2015. In a perfect world, I would have had a lovely post queued up every day last week, in honor of Feeding Tube Awareness Week. Didn't quite happen. Why is Aidan tube fed? Think a child can grow/thrive/develop on 120 calories per day? I don't. And he wasn't. What does this week mean to us? More than anything else, Feeding Tube Awareness Week means Getting the Word Out. I'll take this a...

I'm going to warn you right now - the words "poop" and "vomit" figure prominently in this update. Turn back now, ye faint of heart. This is a poopy/vomity life we're living and I wouldn't even begin to know what else to write about this week. No pictures though. You're welcome. :). It all started on Friday. Friday the 13th, and. Take me home, mom!

http://aidanwitheos.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Thursday, August 1, 2013. It's every parent's nightmare - one that feels all too real for those of us whose children are dealing with food allergies. Natalie Giorgi. A 13 year old girl, camping with her family, took a bite ( one bite. Where did everything go so wrong? I think this article ( Click here for The Article. Explains it very well. So many of our allergy action plans list EpiPens as a second line of defense. I'll admit - ou...Yes, ...

Aidan... With Eos: December 2014
http://aidanwitheos.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. The Flu, and Farewell to 2014. Two posts in one week? We must be inpatient. The Great Influenza of 2014. You know, I'd just been saying to Tom that it was going to be so nice to have one nice healthy Christmas for Aidan. So, truly, I asked for this. Around the mall on his own feet. Feverish, lethargic, and still retching. The ER was a madhouse - clearly, everyone ELSE in the world was ALSO sick on Christmas week,...

Aidan... With Eos: January 2015

Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Thursday, January 22, 2015. Tube Change - January 2015. January found us inpatient for a tube change (I can't believe it's already been three months! It's been a tough month for Aidan for a number of reasons, so I wasn't sure how this hospital visit would go, but they're certainly not optional, so off we went. This was an important visit for Aidan. For starters, it was his first hospital stay where he used a hospital bed. He "woke up" from ...

Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Friday, January 3, 2014. My Sweet Little Boy is THREE! I'm almost certain it was only a few days ago that he was born. I just found this comparison shot of Aidan on the day I brought him home from the hospital, and then 11 weeks later. How did either one of those Baby Bears turn into the little meatball rolling around my living room today? A visit to Nutrition yesterday told us that he is up to 27lb 5oz (8th Percentile! Aidan adores his bes...

Aidan... With Eos: October 2013
http://aidanwitheos.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Living, Loving, and Thriving with a Medically Complicated Child. Monday, October 14, 2013. Day 3 was much calmer. We started feeds overnight and things were very quiet. No pain with the feeds, no screaming. Just (very) slow advances as we move toward his target of 65ml/h. I discovered the downside to our particular room location - all day and all night, we are treated to a symphony of screaming children down in the ER. I can't really complain, given how often my. Child is that screamer. Links to this post.
