During the past few years the charging of a person based on joint enterprise has been hitting the headlines. The complexity of the law and inconsistencies in its application has resulted in a large number of cases reaching the court of appeal. A person can draw one of two conclusions; either his legal team were incompetent or this was done intentionally. I can assure you if the jury know what I, the CPS, Co-defence counsel and my Father’s defence team know with regards to key individuals criminal history the trial would have been fair.
