Friday, 29 July 2016. Week 1 Term 3. The weather has been pretty bad but Room 1 is buzzing! What a great start to the new term. We are carrying on with our inquiry unit on the Olympics. We have been gathering facts and increasing our knowledge by looking at and comparing the Ancient Olympics with the modern Olympics. Next we will be researching our own questions. Monday, 3 August 2015. The best part of the morning for me was the choir, first the girls choir and then the combined choir. They sang beautifully! The students did really well sitting down for so long, but it was an amazing concert, so nice seeing a group of high school students do so well in something different than sport. Monday, 14 September 2015. We started the Amazing Race today. Quite a few of the students already have several passport stamps. It is very exciting to see the students so involved. Last week we finished our read together book; Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. What an amazing book. We had lots of discussions about WW2 and Hitler.
