Zihuatanejo and Hope: April 2009
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
I live in a good world. Friday, April 03, 2009. You won't find me saying that very often. More often than not you'll find me groaning at the decay of this wicked world and craning my neck to try and get a glimpse of heaven somewhere, anywhere. That's why I love getting a Starbucks gift card so much. There's a tiny bit of heaven in that cup of cinnamon dolce and somedays I need that for sure! Then I strolled over to my new favorite blog by one of my favorite authors. Donald Miller. So I'm thinking about t...

Zihuatanejo and Hope: February 2009
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
25 Things: #11 I love deeply.maybe too deeply. Thursday, February 19, 2009. 25 Things: #10 I have Spasmodic Dysphonia. It's a pretty rare vocal chord dysfunction. They don't know what causes it or how to cure it. It's basically a twitch in my vocal chords that makes me unable to produce consistent sound. I could get Botox injections and that would help for awhile, but it has to be done every 2-3 months and who wants to do that? I miss singing with Sandy though. 25 Things: #9 I want to be an author someday.

Zihuatanejo and Hope: So long apart
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2010/01/so-long-apart.html
Sunday, January 24, 2010. You and I have been so long apart, dear blog. Sometimes quiet is good, you understand. I am a "Message" translation appreciator. This is the part that seeped into my pores tonight. When the Pharisees heard how he had bested the Sadducees, they gathered their forces for an assault. One of their religion scholars spoke for them, posing a question they hoped would show him up: "Teacher, which command in God's Law is the most important? Have I mentioned how much I love my church.

Zihuatanejo and Hope: September 2008
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. I've read the most fantastic speech tonight. The boys and I are in Chapter 12 of Lewis's. And the Marsh-wiggle has just given a speech that I can't help crying "hooray" to! He speaks to an evil enchantress:. Cried Scrubb and Jill. That sort of love would be worth everything.even if it meant living for only a very short time in this dark place. And I shall do my best to wear with grace the scars that come from living so. :-). Remember who you are. Wednesday, September 24, 2008.

http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 25, 2009. 8221; All I could tell them is, “it must be the big pool.” Every day he would ask me, “Mom, I get to go in the big pool next time? On the last day, we arrived a few minutes late and Caleb’s class was already sitting on the edge of the Big Pool sporting the cutest little life jackets. Oh! What is your fear? What holds you back from doing what God is asking of you today? Between the Hammer and the Anvil. Thursday, August 13, 2009. I don't own a sword. I know, huh? That's when I st...

Zihuatanejo and Hope: December 2008
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2008. I've officially decided. 2009 is going to be my Year of Tears. Does that sound pessimistic of me? I don't mean it to, and I actually feel rather positive and hopeful about it at the moment. For one thing, I know I can succeed at crying alot this year.(chuckling now). That's how I'll spend my 2009. It feels nice to know I'll be good at it. I'll be investing in some waterproof mascara. Anyone know of a good one? Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Full of wisdom, grace and beauty.

Zihuatanejo and Hope: November 2008
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2008. One of my favorite things to do is to pick up strays for Thanksgiving. Mom is always careful to clarify."strays.you mean.well, umm. You mean people you know right? April and Matt were missionaries for a year in China and we love getting together with them over good food, or tea, or board games anyway. What better day for all of the above than Thanksgiving? Then there's Miss Beth. Could she be any cuter? She had other invitations and chose us.how lucky are we? It makes you think...

Zihuatanejo and Hope: July 2008
http://jandtheboys.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
A great talk on passion! Friday, July 25, 2008. I don't consider myself a feminist or anything, but boy, this chica has some good points. Kevin always says stuff like, "Women are sure powerful.when the women of this church band together, we're gonna see the world change." I wonder if it's true. I don't think women have. Isabel Allende Tells tales of Passion! To be called His friend. Tuesday, July 01, 2008. Do read Brother Lawrence.it's a small book called "The Practice of the Presence of God", I have...
