West Virginia Railroad Museum. Preserving West Virginia's railroad history. The West Virginia Railroad Museum collects, conserves, restores, and interprets the legacy of the railroad in West Virginia. The West Virginia Railroad Museum is open for the season! Our grand opening took place on April 18, 2015. You can now visit the museum Thursday – Sunday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm through the end of October. In July 2015, the museum was awarded a West Virginia Humanities Council. To learn more and to sign up.
