A village's sacrifice…Ludford 1914 – 1918. The men who served. The 2nd Ludford man to be killed in action in 1916. August 17, 2016. We remember HARRY PRITCHARD. Killed in Action on 13. August 1916 aged just 19 years. Born in Ludford the son of Samuel and Fanny Pritchard. He was a Rifleman in 11. Battalion KRRC which was part of the 59. KRRC held the Hebuterne sector at the time of his death. He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial Somme France Panel& Face 13A &13B. The first Ludford man to fall in 1916.
