Looking for a translation. Morning bells are ringing) or the French one (Brother James, are you sleeping, Matins. September 9th, 2010 08:37 am (UTC). Slæpst þu, broþor Jhon? Although "uhtbelle" is not actually attested - "uhta" was the first service of the day, "uhtsang" was the matins hymn, and "nonbelle" is attested for the midday bell.so "uhtbelle" is an educated guess. Also, John and James are not really OE names, so you could go for something a bit more likely, like Hengist or something.

Powered by Last.fm. Another fellow NDdP fan who also happens to be quite the Frollo-phile . It's always a pleasure to find another NDdP comm on LJ, especially since they're sometimes hard to come by! I feel a little silly saying this, but Notre-Dame is quite possibly one of the best things in the world to have come across - I truly feel like a better person for having read it and seen the musical :]. I'm not quite sure what else to say. o o. Either way, hi to all! Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

I just found out that Emlyn Hughes is dead - A True Story about Nothing Much
http://mippy.livejournal.com/573930.html
I just found out that Emlyn Hughes is dead. Yesterday, I realised that to a new student of 2009, 2000 is as long ago as 1991 was to me then. I wonder how dated 2000 feels to them. Twenty years since Fool's Gold, Automatic, Unfaithful, Heathers. Fifteen since Parklife, Robson and Jerome, East 17, Clerks. Ten since The Matrix. Nine since Big Brother (though this surprises me in that how long it's been around). Bananarama are as old now as The Beatles were in 1989. Great thanks now I'm really depressed.

Hi all. I'm brand new to this wonderful book, and am currently about…: lafetedesfous

Mmmm And there's a kind of embedded reminder of the narrative here as well, because that word ‘bosse’ which is used here in its architectural sense is also the word Hugo uses for Quasimodo's hunch. Notre Dame de Paris. You can also see the rooms Hugo lived in, which are pretty hideously decorated I thought. But still, a fascinating place which gave me lots of new ways to think about the book and its author. If you're in Paris you should check it out! Post a new comment. We will log you in after post.
