Saturday, December 31, 2011. A Taste of Christmas. After the fantastic Orlando wedding, I took a train (yes, they have passenger trains in America! To West Palm Beach, where my fabulous cousin Erika. Picked me up for that blessed first dinner at Panera and shopping trip to Target, a Guammie dream date if I've ever heard of one. Step one: Add half a pound of lard to four cups of flour. Believe it or not, lard is Paleo approved. As a worthwhile fat). Leave dough in refrigerator overnight so the yeast rises.

Thursday, May 31, 2012. One of the first days I met April, she handed me a stack of 100 poems she had written that she wanted to publish into a book one day. Spoken word poetry is a gift of hers. Three years later, I spent a summer working to help her edit her poems into one complete volume called Utter Magic. Monday, February 27, 2012. Palau At Its Best. Our first dive on our third day was my favorite of the 11 we did over the four days of diving. We started off at a dive site called Fairyland, named for its fanciful and vibrant corals that make you question if you have managed to dive straight out of reality.
