Welcome to the Molecular Electronics Group in Karlsruhe. YIG "Theoretical Aspects of Molecular Electronics". What is the goal of our Molecular Electronics Group? The shrinkage of electronic components. The lenght scale reached by technology has dropped steadily from the millimitre scale of the early 1950s to the present-day atomic scale. We investigate electronic devices formed by single atoms and molecules, i.e. the smallest imaginable circuits.
