We would love to share with you all the reasons why you should join us at Lumen Christi. Our 2017 Enrolment systems are in place and we ask you to make contact with our Office to arrange a time to meet with our [Acting] Principal Mr.Dave Cooper. We offer transition opportunities during this year for Pre-School children who will be joining us next year. If you have a child already at another school and you are considering a move in 2017, please take the time to consider our offerings at Lumen Christi.

Lumen Christi School Tuckshop

The school tuckshop is open every Friday and if you wish to order a tuckshop lunch you must return the order to the school by Thursday morning no later than 9.30am as we have to order the food by lunchtime on Thursday to ensure delivery for Friday morning. Our Teaching and Learning Program. In 2013, we began introducing the national curriculum known as AusVELS. This curriculum is in its first phase of development and includes English, Mathematics, History and Science. Work has also begun on including Health and Physical Education, Geography and the Arts. While these areas are being developed we are using the Victorian Essential Learning Standards to guide our teaching. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture.

Buddies and Multiage Classes. At Lumen Christi all our Prep children have an older student as a buddy. This program allows our older students to have a leadership role in helping a younger student settle into school life, and it helps our new students to feel more confident in our school environment. In any single class group the age range can still be up to 2 years difference because parents exercise their right to send their children to school when they feel it is appropriate.
