FEARLESS NESTING: An Enchanted Winter
http://fearlessnesting.blogspot.com/2015/02/an-enchanted-winter.html
Sunday, February 8, 2015. Just popping in to share a few images with you as our landscape continues to fill up with snow. I marvel at the sweetness of these tiny creatures fully exposed to our harsh winter elements. Maybe it's their voracious appetite that gets them through. Henri makes sure they are well fed. We have kept a foothpath open to my little shop across the street. The sky sure had a beautiful glow from that direction the other evening. February 8, 2015 at 2:38 PM. February 8, 2015 at 3:04 PM.

FEARLESS NESTING: August 2013
http://fearlessnesting.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 17, 2013. A Palette of Luminous Blues. Seeing this kind of light reflecting in the water makes me long to be an artist. It's the kind of light that feeds an artist's obsession. It is easy to find little snippets of serenity to use as the subject of a beautiful painting. Pretty pink against a backdrop of blue is always lovely too. Even the blueberries are perfectly timed to reflect the light of August. There seems to be an endless supply of subject matter everywhere you look. Wind Swept i...

FEARLESS NESTING: October 2013
http://fearlessnesting.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Light of the World. Lately I find myself drawn to the richness of color found within those subtle shifts of hue. I seem to be paying more attention to how the light can change the entire mood of an object. Since finishing up my first Farragoz project that I shared with you here. But first, I wanted to show you some splashes of color we are still enjoying in our part of the world during our daily walks. Both of these were taken this past Sunday on Ocean Avenue in Sorrento.

FEARLESS NESTING: November 2013
http://fearlessnesting.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 14, 2013. FARRAGOZ: The Art of Patina - Module 2. After going through the process of making this clock face, I realize in hindsight it is relatively easy. You are given step by step instructions, including a template and lots of advice and guidance along the way from your own personal instructor. And like the last project, you simply start out with a plain piece of scrap wood that you learn how to transform into a work of art! As I mentioned in the beginning, I decided to turn my clock...

FEARLESS NESTING: January 2013
http://fearlessnesting.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Pretty Gulls in Bar Harbor. It was a balmy 50 degree day in Bar Harbor this past Monday as we sat in the car eating our lunch on the town pier. Henri notices the gulls all sit around waiting for hand outs. Me, I think they are pretty. But especially so in the sun, when I notice the softly blowing breeze rearranging their feathers. One of the Porcupine Islands seen along Bar Harbor's 100 year old Shore Path. My camera plays peek-a-boo with the island behind an old dead birch.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Living In The Moment (and FARRAGOZ Art Course Winner). I took these pictures while I was on the phone with a friend. Don't worry, I told her there was a bright red cardinal right outside my window. She knows me well enough to know I was reaching for my camera as we discussed how pretty our neighborhood was looking with its fresh dusting of white. And the lucky winner is:. Congratulations Marcelle you will be receiving an email shortly! He looks unreal. If only you could co...

FEARLESS NESTING: Spectacular Little Moments
http://fearlessnesting.blogspot.com/2014/01/spectacular-little-moments.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. Sunrise captured by Henri as he quietly welcomes the day enjoying his morning coffee. The sweetness of an American Goldfinch having breakfast outside our window. While standing at my kitchen window, I notice the sun illuminating a crucifix on a cemetery statuary across the street. It was my first time ever to see this happen. Taken inside the cemetery, here is a close-up of the crucifix. A lustrous tea cup unexpectedly and very recently given to me by a friend. Oh boy.that l...
