https://chillylama.wordpress.com/2015/02
On Stuff and Nonsense. On Stuff and Nonsense. February 25, 2015. February 26, 2015. What to say about work when things seem a little dicey. Outside of work, things are just fine though moving at a rapid pace. I’ve been wedding dress shopping and will be visiting another seamstress this evening, because what is better than to take advantage of a plethora of wonderful seamstresses and be married in a custom gown? Serving within my program (and all the unexpected tumbles it brings) is an incredible experien...

https://chillylama.wordpress.com/2014/11
On Stuff and Nonsense. On Stuff and Nonsense. November 27, 2014. March 26, 2015. We are in Cochabamba for an MCC retreat this week. Cocha has warmer temps and warmer people. The general atmosphere is less cold and tense than the air La Paz tends to share- there are many restaurants that open directly onto the sidewalk because there is no need to escape the elements. The cholita skirts are knee-length and it is crazy to see so many toned calves! How do we measure impact? Should everything be measurable?

On Stuff and Nonsense. On Stuff and Nonsense. December 17, 2014. March 26, 2015. On Reflections of the People’s Summit. It was glorious to be on the ocean again, my very own Pacific! I think had carried-over tiredness from months past because I slept 45 minutes of every hour of the 33 hour bus ride. Liz was my seatmate, poor thing, and had zero intelligible conversation from me. In Lima we stayed in a beautiful little enclave, Joseph Cluny’s House of Spirituality . A nun ringing the bell for 7am mass.
