Ghetto Gardens: Another season kicks off.
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2012/03/another-season-kicks-off.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Saturday, March 3, 2012. Another season kicks off. I have not posted anything in awhile, but with a new season right around the corner, it was time to get with it. The gardening gods sent some local tree trimmers to the neighborhood, so I had to jump into action. I asked them if they were interested in dumping the wood chips in our yard, and they were happy to do so. Lucky me! I am aware that the use of freshly chipped up wood as mulch is highly debated.

Ghetto Gardens: Hoosier weather.
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2012/03/hoosier-weather.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Monday, March 5, 2012. I would love to post pictures and stories of DIY projects underway, or countless seed trays beginning to sprout, but sadly that is not the case. However, we had a surprise snow shower last night. It might not have been a surprise to others, but I personally missed a memo. Yesterday, the West Lawn looked like this,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Ghetto Gardens: September blooms
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2011/09/september-blooms.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. I do not remember the white Rose of Sharon blooms ever having shades of pink. Regardless, I am loving the new look. The blooms of the peach Hibiscus are prettier than last year. The 4 O'clock's are still looking amazing. Odd photo angle, I know. I have never successfully grown Celosia's of any kind. Honestly, it was never one of my favorite flowers. I am quickly singing a different tune these days. View my complete profile.

If you have never been to the winery, I highly recommend it. Here are some plants that caught my eye on this trip. Now the next few photos are taken in our backyard. This little guy is adorable. I can usually find him on the Banana tree every day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bloomington, Indiana, United States. I LOVE TO COOK.

Ghetto Gardens: November 2010
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Monday, November 29, 2010. Its Santa season once again. After much debate on whether to decorate this year or not, I decorated. We had to put "presents" on the endangered species list, but being festive is free. After all, I love the Christmas season, not to mention, that I have a Santa collection that needs to be shown. Sorry about the following photo, but I was once again trying to capture the lights on our Christmas tree. Not quite a flock. Tiny Farm Blo...

Ghetto Gardens: March 2011
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Saturday, March 19, 2011. What do you think, deer damage, or something else? I am going to blame the deer. I hope it is deer and not something more sinister. I am not sure this will help, but here is my solution, until I decide on what to do. Any suggestions? I have to admit, I should have never planted this evergreen where I did. I decided to address the issue now, and hopefully it will pay off this summer. A few early spring happenings. Now I am not absol...

Ghetto Gardens: October 2010
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Sunday, October 31, 2010. We were surprised by a little duck on Halloween. She is delighted that I have yet to rake the yard. Halloween visitors were the only thing going on in the yard this weekend. I have yet to get started cleaning up the yard for winter. But looking on the bright side, I think it makes for a better fall picture. lol. These are the east facing windows. You can see the BOP in the left corner. I. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Ghetto Gardens: February 2011
http://ghettogardens.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Friday, February 25, 2011. In like a lion? Have you ever heard the saying, "In like a lion, out like a lamb, in like a lamb, out like a lion"? I have heard this all my life, to describe the weather for March. I know it is not technically March, as of yet, however, I am hoping that this is the "in like a Lion" portion of the program. The first two photos are courtesy of my Aunt Lois, that were taken this morning. Thursday, February 17, 2011. Time to get out ...

Making beautiful gardens on a dandelion budget. Saturday, December 4, 2010. Let it snow, let it snow. Thanks to Dad for the following pictures. This is what it looked like this morning, and it snowed all day long. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Hawaiian flowers and plants. Christmas list 2010. lmao. I wanted to post photos of the flowers and plants that caught my eye in Hawaii. You won't find anything blooming outside our house right now. Anyone have any guesses as to what type of plant this is. And they d...
