It's raining in Baltimore, baby.but everything else is the same. Monday, August 10, 2015. I’m at the beach where I’ve been lucky enough to go for the past three years, thanks to Maggie May Etheridge. No, not through her dollars or mad hook-ups, but for pointing me to a blog where I eventually met the blogger’s sister and then her friends and then, well, aren’t we all in this crazy thing together in our little blog-land? It was casual, and we all felt free to ask the hard things. Having a baby has been a ...

It's raining in Baltimore, baby.but everything else is the same. Monday, March 24, 2014. Cups of tea I forget to drink. I also have a very tentative "offer" from another place that would come with relocation. Decisions will be made, and the world won't end. Lives won't be affected- only mine. And what does that matter? We were going back and forth, and I mentioned about how my sister's first reaction is "but won't you be bored. If you move away from DC? Thursday, March 6, 2014. ALL THIS TROUBLE: They've Never Been To The Zoo !?!?!?
http://allthistroublejusttoleaveacomment.blogspot.com/2012/02/theyve-never-been-to-zoo.html
Saturday, February 25, 2012. They've Never Been To The Zoo! No, not until now. I enjoyed spending time with the kids and their friends. I'm just not a BIG fan of zoos. The hippie in me thinks "habitats" are depressing. The kids thought the flamingos were too smelly. Look how they lean. Sam did a great job on his first rock wall! Logan was never able to climb more than shoulder high. Sam was unsure at first but the lady helping them was on his side. She would yell, "You got this, Slim! And he DID get it!

Waxing a Life Philosophic. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Saturday Morning Swim Switch. We walk into the steamy pool area of our local high school every Saturday morning with heavy winter gear; coats, hats, gloves, scarfs, boots and for my daughters, swim suits buried underneath those tantamount layers. It was an idea spawned from my obsessive compulsive need to make sure my girls never fear the water as I did/do. Well that, and the fact that their two best friends are competitive swimmers. I see these fa...

Waxing a Life Philosophic. Friday, August 31, 2012. Tall, Tall, Tree House. My father was a handsome, ugly man. Who visited me in my dream last night. He tried to wish me well. To lead me to higher ground. He built a tree house in the sky. Miles and miles high. Enough to make the neighbor spirits gawk. And fold their arms while they pulled up a chair. To make sure they could see. When his beautiful, ugly duagher would come. To meet him there. Posted by Zen Mama. Links to this post. Tall, Tall, Tree House.
