The McCay Twins 1! Friday, November 30, 2012. Big moment for Hannah! After Abby died, we needed a mood lifter! Hannah had been tentatively wanting to get her ears pierced for about a year. She finally was determined to with no hesitation. So off we went to Claire's. Both girls picked out earrings, but Leah wanted to wait and let Hannah be the guinnea pig. The McCay Twins 1! Thursday, December 27, 2012. Elf on the Shelf. Jingle came to the McCay household this year. making a late debut on December 5th actually. The girls were thrilled. We read the Elf on the Shelf book and learned all about her and they quickly gave her the name Jingle. Little did we know that Jingle has a 2nd cousin elf in Texas also named Jingle, though it is unlikely that they will ever meet. I think their favorite was the video of pictures. Here is a glimpse of our month with Jingle.

The McCay Twins 1! Friday, January 18, 2013. So on this mid January day when we got maybe 1/2 inch in the grass they were very excited. It was the big fat kind of snow flakes that soaked upon contact, but it made the girls happy and it was pretty to see it fall. We do not have winter gear so they were soaked after 5 minutes outside, but they ran around in it, ate some snowflakes, and got some good outside time. Then they came inside and took a hot bath and enjoyed watching it from the warmth.

The McCay Twins 1! Sunday, February 19, 2012. The big day finally arrived! We went to see Wicked. The girls got new dresses and were so excited that we were able to use it as a threat for bedtime the entire week leading up to it. The McCay Twins 1! Wednesday, January 30, 2013. We have had a few nights when I could not get him to go to sleep and he's cried. And then proceeded to bang his head on the crib slats and hurt himself, or later pull himself up and not know how to get down. And we have let him cry for over an hour. He never showed a sign of stopping. Ill still go to him if he wakes and try to get him back down (in the crib) but if I spend too much time or nothing I'm doing is working he is going to have to cry. The McCay Twins 1! Tuesday, January 24, 2012. We were taken back right away and the hospital gave her 2 doses of steroid and Over the course of 2-3 hours another 3 breathing treatments. The child went nuts. She went from droopy pitiful little Leah to standing on top of the bed, singing Wicked songs at the top of her lungs, goofy, completely jacked up on steroids and albuterol.
