When Salt Met Pepper: update
http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2011/02/update.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Sunday, February 20, 2011. So I added some technical/viral like entities to the background of the portrait, hoping it will bring that underlying evil forth without being too forward. I am still debating on whether I should add a grunge/distressed-like environment and to what extent. In the second image I chose to take away the tech tattoo like object because it was difficult to see and may not be recognizable to all viewers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When Salt Met Pepper: January 2010
http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Monday, January 25, 2010. Today the equipment came in (tripod and remote shutter release) so I took to the road and visited mt first site. The Pine Tree Barn and I saw and old silo on the side of the road which I pulled over to shoot as well. HDR recreation with Photoshop CS4:. Friday, January 22, 2010. Places and more places. I have been rigorously searching for sites that I can shoot at that are within a reasonable distance. Afterall, gas has not been reasonable lately. The other ...

When Salt Met Pepper: August 2010
http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Monday, August 30, 2010. Purpose of my Focus. I was thinking if I were to do this, going with the Barbie Doll idea. What if I did my work on a social issue such as social stereotypes of women and how the media has oversexualized women in the media. I would think I would approach this by shooting a woman doing a social stereotypical role such as being in the kitchen, but the would be in a bathing suit or underwear; this way it like a double "whammy". Is this a good thought?

When Salt Met Pepper: Warming Up..
http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2011/01/warming-up.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. So I have been able to find an abundant source of broken down computer scraps courtesy of Armodyne Computer Solutions. Most of my time has been spent breaking down the parts and engineering unique ways to photograph them. However. *Speed Bump*. The batteries in my Canon SLR are dead and should be done charging this afternoon. In the mean time I was stuck with the 5.0 mgpx camera on my droid. Not my idea of good start. But it is a start.

When Salt Met Pepper: April 2010
http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Monday, April 12, 2010. I have decided that I like the way my piece (chalice looks with the new crop). I struggled very much with the decision of whether to add more to the background or not, but decided against it because I wanted to really hit at one particular thought. The fate of (a) man is dependent upon the outcome of battles that take place within. Do we let them continue to hold us back? Or do we fight through it and choose our own fate? When Salt Met Pepper: Food for thought....
http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2011/03/food-for-thought.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Monday, March 21, 2011. I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before but the larger, zoomed in squares will not actually be a part of the print. I will be printing them separately and mounting them on the final print to add more depth. Ideally I think vinyl adhesive would work best and then use some kind of shellac, perhaps to give it a nice glossy look? If this sounds confusing I will try and post a diagram later. http://whensaltmetpepper.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
When Salt Met Pepper. Friday, October 29, 2010. Let me know what you think of how I am developing the background of these two pieces. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. I think it is possible that the orange on my first piece will be more apparent once I print it. I think I may do a test print. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. First Work finished and WIP. Add different variations to the "fruit". Comments are awesome. Friday, October 1, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Art of Sequence. New Work [Weeks 1-3].
