I started running at the age of 43. Signed up to the Nike London half marathon “Run To The Beat” in 2011. Started training for it with just 4 weeks to go… then decided if I was to improve I needed to find a club. Found Ashford Tri Club. In Kent and even though I’m mainly focused on running they are a wonderful and supportive crew whom I’ve grown very fond of. And they got me into Triathlon. I’m normally last, but they always wait and cheer. Hopefully by training properly this year, I won’t be last.
